Mini Nuclear Plants ~ On The Market Within Five Years
merrie
by merrie  11-11-2008    1
The company plans to set up three factories to produce 4,000 plants between 2013 and 2023. 'We already have a pipeline for 100 reactors, and we are taking our time to tool up to mass-produce this reactor.' The first confirmed order came from TES, a Czech infrastructure company specialising in water plants and power plants. 'They ordered six units and optioned a further 12. We are very sure of their capability to purchase,' said Deal. The first one, he said, would be installed in Romania. 'We now have a six-year waiting list. We are in talks with developers in the Cayman Islands, Panama and the Bahamas.' The reactors, only a few metres in diameter, will be delivered on the back of a lorry to be buried underground. They must be refuelled every 7 to 10 years. An application to build the plants will be submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission next year.

The Mask Slips
debbyski

"Remember voodoo economics? That was the derisive term George H.W. Bush used for Ronald Reagan’s fantasy that he could simultaneously increase defense spending, cut taxes and balance the budget. After Reagan became president (with Mr. Bush as his vice president) the budget deficit — surprise, surprise — soared. Just as they were wrong about trickle down, conservative Republican politicians and their closest buddies in the commentariat have been wrong on one important national issue after another, from Social Security (conservatives opposed it from the start and have been trying to undermine it ever since) to Medicare (Ronald Reagan saw it as the first wave of socialism) to the environment, energy policy and global warming."

Stop of war in Georgia is cheating, satan keeps it updated
barnabasnagy
by barnabasnagy  9-14-2008
In the morning I woke up and I had a dream that bothered my mind. I saw a satanist probably above the whole continent of Eurasia and he prayed for stopping the war between Russia and Georgia. As you read the news you can see the effect. The effect is a peace that is brainwashed into the mind by the media but the mind of a servant of god cannot be brainwashed.

This pretender needs to chill out on one of his wife’s luxurious estates and tend the barbecue. It is very evident that he would turn over our government to the corporate powers who have been running it for the last eight years. Not this time. — Posted by Luke Wright

The Do-Good Imperative
wildcat
by wildcat  7-14-2008    1
How about a windup flashlight crossed with a cell phone charger? It's low tech meets high tech with rugged, toylike charm. Or charcoal made from plant waste instead of wood, developed for Haiti by MIT's D-Lab? Talk about a greener way to barbecue. (The technology might also help save endangered African gorillas. A new study published in Science links organized crime rings cutting trees for charcoal in Congo with a spate of recent gorilla murders.)
