With the right personalities, I'm sure that there would be far more in common than not in this struggle to make the system of providing health care make sense and work for nearly everyone. I believe much of the opposition means well, deep down inside, and they would just as soon see all citizens provided with reasonable health care. For policymakers, as well as those who feel the need to understand, it is important to learn enough so as to balance a sense of empathy and caring with a knowledge that self-sufficiency and motivation are robbed and diminished every time we just submit to the government and let them say, "Come to papa." Of course, it's the intuitive part that lets one know that those are even factors important to investigate, I do believe. My insight of the day is nothing more than a given basic regarding the concept of insurance. Why pay a lobbyist $300,000? Because it’s a great investment, of course. Does anyone believe the legal fiction that the purpose of a lobbyist is to educate politicians on the issues? Of course not. Those huge bucks are paid out for skilled middle-men and women to discreetly (or not so discreetly) convey the message that a politician will be handsomely rewarded for screwing over his or her constituents in favor of the lobbyist’s employer.

POPSWe may never recover from deficit spending Federal spending is the real problem causing these deficits. It seems that the only solution you have for any and all problems is to throw massive amounts of money at it. This is acting irresponsibly and that is not what you were elected to do. Congress should not have special privileges such as all of the perks that you receive for free. You work for us and you are compensated by an adequate salary out of which you should pay for your own expenses. You should also have to be part of any healthcare system that you force on the rest of us.

POPSDelusions about Private Healthcare The US Private healthcare system is not alive and well, unless you're an investorin or an executive of Big Health Insurance. Nearly half of Americans have no coverage, and thousands of people are dying unnecessarily every day due to lack of necessary healthcare. People are slipping out of emergency rooms because they don't have the money to pay for their emergency treatment. Health Bills are the #1 reason for personal bankruptcy in the US. Those are all signs of an unhealthy healthcare system. Medical care is a necessity and a right. It should be a public service, not something that people are getting rich on.
