This strikes me as probably more than a "let bygones be bygones" photo op. McCain's loss was an expensive one for him in terms of political capital. He's on the outs with his party right now. If he's close to the Obama White House, he has some leverage to get some of his stuff done. It would also be helpful for Obama to have some pull with the senate GOP. Like they say, if you can't beat 'em...

A story like this, puzzles me as to why it's legal to spread hate over our airwaves. The rightwing shock jocks, have been doing this for years without remorse or fear of reparation. We all enjoy freedom of speech and would never want to do anything to jeopardize this right, a corner stone of democracy. But when it's used to spread xenophobia, doesn't that strike you as being criminal? It's illegal to shout FIRE in a crowded room, shouldn’t it also be against the law to shout THIS GROUP, RACE, or ETHNICITY IS EVIL. Yet that is exactly what the Limbaughs, Lou Dobbs' and other hate spreaders do when they use media tools to distribute their loathsome rhetoric. It happened in Tenn. when a crazed man went looking for Liberals to KILL because a radio jock said liberals were ruining America. When will the time come, to say enough hate, it's time for healing? As long as rumor brutes can sputter their revulsion behind the safety of a microphone, it will never end and some innocent will suffer.

POPSThe Real Racists in the Obama/McCain Election This is politically incorrect but statistically undeniable and hereby proven. Just who really was it that voted based upon race alone? Blacks, 96 percent Obama to 3 percent McCain Yet the charge will never be leveled at this demographic group, but why not? It is blatantly true. Did blacks really not consider any other principles or policies? Apparently only 4 percent did in this monolithic vote. Frankly, (dare we say so), the mob block vote of blacks has all the appearance of a demographic gang solely based upon the zeal to beat out whites for positions of power. So whites should be in large cleared, as a population group, from the charge of racism, despite the MSM preachers constantly harassing and forcing the charge. Their own statistics now have settled the matter for good. The results here speak more loudly than the rhetoric of all the politically-correct pundits now writing the headlines touting the first Black President.

IMO (and some others) Very, very slow and careful; methodical General Petraeus has already been order to start withdrawing troops from Iraq. (in Obama's Victory Speech) All parties will be included in the Administration and others, these folks will be given orders to accomplish things. His brass knuckles just announced Chief of Staff (Ron Emanuel) will frequently go over to the Democratic Congress and beat their brains out and kick their ass until they do what Obama wants. With Democrats having a majority in both Houses legislation will quickly pass and there will be no filibusters because Obama will get 8 or 9 Republicans to go along with him. Pakistan will either kill or deliver bin Laden or agree to let a strike team of Special Forces in to get him ourselves; or we will go in whether Pakistan likes it or not. A massive program for alternative energy will begin.
