POPSTrilobite beetle of Laos This is a trilobite beetle (Coleoptera: Lycidae, probably genus Duliticola. It comes from Puhipii Mountain in Oudomxay, Laos. These are also known as net-winged beetles, and are related to click beetles, fireflies, and soldier beetles. The females are neotenous, attaining reproductive maturity without metamorphosis. The armor plates on the back are called scutes.
