Israel and the Vatican only established full diplomatic relations in 1993 and since then there have been other disagreements, over issues including the taxing of church property in and around Jerusalem and permits for Arab Christian clergy to travel through the occupied West Bank. Pope John Paul II visited Israel in 2000, the first pope to do so, but Pope Benedict XVI appears to have no plans to visit in the near future. On Sunday, the Israeli president, Shimon Peres, said the row over the photo caption should not prevent a papal visit, though he too was critical of Pius. "We have reason to believe that Pius XII didn't do enough to save Jewish life. I don't want to pass judgement," Peres said. "If there is evidence then it should be checked carefully. The visit to the holy country is nothing to do with anger or disputes. It's holy all the time. It is holy for all of us."

Since time began. Hands down.” Even Michelle Malkin, who is so far to the right that she can't walk without spinning around, said, "It’s a mistake to attribute Powell’s endorsement primarily to some kind of race loyalty." It's not even much of a cartoon, as the images are from the top of the list of Google image searches for "Benedict Arnold" and "white flag".

POPSWhy can't the Jews leave the past alone ? That Pope is dead and he did in fact caused and facilitated the escape of 1000s of Jews, though not publicized for obvious reasons that Musolini the Italian leader was an ally of Hitler the mass murderer. At times I think, may be Hitler was right.

Two hours into filming on the first day, one of the contestants collapsed on the floor and suffered convulsions. We were stuck in the depths of the jungle in Guyana and we had to get him out. POPSItaly misses opertunity to defend free speech. Italian officials had a great opportunity to defend the free speech of it's citizens. But instead they opted to appease the ego of the bigoted catholic leader. One thing people keep forgetting, freedom of speech doesn't protect you from hearing stuff you don't like. In fact when people spout stuff you find offensive, you know it's working.

POPSSarkozy snubbing his nose at secularism again. I have no problem with people (And leaders) holding a religious ideology. What I have a problem is when they openly display (While on 'official' duty) their support of their ideology. It's a private matter, and should remain as such. Pray as you want (Or don't at all), just do so in 'unofficial' matters.
