POPSObama administration to ratchet up hunt for bin Laden Well, that's the first bit of good news I've heard so far with anything connected to Obama. However, they couldn't resist a dig: "The Obama team believes the Bush administration has downplayed the importance of catching the FBI's most-wanted terrorist because it has not been able to find him." The Bush Administration has NEVER downplayed the importance of finding Bin Laden; maybe didn't want to broadcast their operations to the entire world, but never have them minimized the desire/will to get him.

POPSEgypt rejects asylum for Bin Laden son Airport sources in Egypt said Omar bin Laden, who has not seen the al Qaeda leader for many years and says he does not support violence, had asked to go to Qatar, where as a Saudi citizen he would have right of entry.

POPSWhat will the Obama's First Actions Be?
I love the first pic. on this page (wouldn't clip) What will the Obama White House Be Like? IMO (and some others) Very, very slow and careful; methodical General Petraeus has already been order to start withdrawing troops from Iraq. (in Obama's Victory Speech) All parties will be included in the Administration and others, these folks will be given orders to accomplish things. His brass knuckles just announced Chief of Staff (Ron Emanuel) will frequently go over to the Democratic Congress and beat their brains out and kick their ass until they do what Obama wants. With Democrats having a majority in both Houses legislation will quickly pass and there will be no filibusters because Obama will get 8 or 9 Republicans to go along with him. Pakistan will either kill or deliver bin Laden or agree to let a strike team of Special Forces in to get him ourselves; or we will go in whether Pakistan likes it or not. A massive program for alternative energy will begin.

POPSThe Ghoul's Glossary: the 2008 Election Withdrawal: A way to avoid the worst consequences of a moment of pleasurable conquest, which, however, often comes too late to avoid years of support payments. Youth vote: The expectation that 21-year-olds will save the nation from the folly of their elders, in preference to gulping shots from the navels of hot barmaids during a Tuesday happy hour. Zionism: The theory that because Nazis hated Jews, the latter would be much better off all gathered together on disputed land in the midst of 300 million Arabs and Iranians.

POPSArab Paper: 'Obama's Historic Intifada' Allows Islam to.... It doesn't matter. Over half of the US citizens apparently have decided that the "Change" man is who they want...completely disregarding that all our avowed enemies want him also. I bet we will see cheering, dancing in the streets, gun-fire going off, women clucking their tongues all over the Middle East tomorrow...just as we saw on 9/11. While most Americans don't consider Obama a Muslim/Islamic sympathizer, *they* do.

POPSThe Last Days of McCain - He's Going Down The excuses are already pouring out of the Republican Party as they now try to sound insightful, pointing out what caused them to lose the election. The shouldn't overlook several big facts: Most Yanks don't like the War in Iraq, most Yanks want to see bin Laden dead, most Yanks are horrified at their lost of savings and the Wall St. Bailout of banks and the majority of the people don't like John McCain. On the other side of the coin: Lots of folks - the majority -- like Obama a lot. All the pundits might find this surprising: people voted on the issues and the character of the man.

POPSPakistanis Protest Obama's Position on bin Laden
There is definitely a problem here: the Yanks are coming. After 8 stupid, irresponsible years and wrong-headed, misguided, corrupt and false reasons, Bush will be out of power. His term of office has been like watching someone fall off a roof. His failure to kill or capture bin Laden is one of the worst failures in all our USA history -- and using deliberately fabricated lies to get us into a black hole in Iraq the second worse failure in USA history. Once he's gone all this crud will be wiped away, erased, throw into the rubbish. The new president - with just one ounce of brain-power will right away realize: 'Oh, the criminals of 9/11 still run free and the whole nation want to kill them (or capture them). Even red, red-necks should realize this gross failure, and stop defending Republican incompetence. Now it's is believed bin Laden is in Pakistan. Sorry about that Pakistan. Turn him over or we're going in to get him ourselves. The Yanks ARE coming. Resist

POPSMature Presidents Outperform Young Interesting evaluation of some historical events...the way I learned and saw history. FTA: "Our next president will face a resurgent Russia run by Vladimir Putin and his KGB friends, Iran and its nuclear program, and al-Qaida and other terrorists who want an atomic weapon." Ooops. There might be too much 'fear' in this Clip.

POPSBin Laden to be Conjured Up for Halloween/Election
Poof--October Surprise! The officials sound like they WANT bin Laden to speak and be heard don't they? Hey ABC!.. why not identify just who these "multiple government sources" are...why the secrecy? Could they be neocons within the Office of Special Plans that report to Dick Cheney and bypass the CIA (which closed their bin Laden unit), that wrote the blueprint for a "new middle east", including Iraq, Iran, Syria (for Israel) in Sept. 2000? I have been waiting for this, bin Laden is always conjured up to spook Americans (in perfect Pavlovian condition-response training) to switch the debate back to "terrorism", fear, and "national security", while the statistical real threat of terrorism is MICROSCOPIC. The neocon agenda must be continued. I guarantee ABC will have an exclusive with Brian Ross, quoting the neocon-linked private company SITE, who always provide Osama a national platform, whom a $1 Trillion Pentagon can never find, conveniently. It's a lie!

POPSThe Socialist Who Compared Americans to Nazis less than nine months prior transitioned from Clinton to Bush, to Hitler's. http://www.wbez.org/audio_library/od_rajan01.asp#010118 With her husband holding radical views like this about our nation, it's no wonder why Michelle has such a hard time being proud of her country. It's the company you keep. comments Let us remember, Nazi is short for "Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei" which translates to "National Socialist German Workers' Party" (emphasis mine). In short, the Nazis were Socialists. Plain and simple, even the full name says so. Posted by: C-C-G at October 28, 2008 06:07 PM

POPSBut it's been this way from '01... Bush and the neocons were -- and are -- Bin Laden's wet-dream... While I personally beleive there are Islamic nuts out there who understand nothing but violence -- when considering the big picture, our policies have fostered rather than hurt Al Qada.

POPSpre-election attack? They would probably do so if it helped elect McCain. Why wouldn't they want the disastrous policies of Bush continued. A couple of acts of terror and America brings itself to ruin, great investment from their point of view. They spend half a million and the response costs the USA trillions. When you factor in the all the costs it's clear who's really winning. By comparison the war of drugs is a bargain and maybe a little more effective.

POPSExactly, I Agree With Joe, Too ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions. “Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. the presumptive vice-messiah’s comments at a Seattle fundraiser — he apparently didn’t realize that journalists were present — are very, very interesting.
