Depleted Uranium has Destroyed the Genetic Future of Iraq
RaiseClip
by RaiseClip  5-31-2008
Cold-blooded Americans could care less. Yet, this nation of hypocrites say they went there to Iraq because they actually gave a shit about the Iraqi people "suffering" under Saddam. Combine all the crimes for which Saddam Hussein has been accused and it would not even come close to the crimes committed against the Iraqi people by the USA.

by ianschneider  2-5-2008    4
Men will be obsolete - if not, all human will be extinct. Why? Men would be the ones to use WMD. Before that happened, women would kill us all. Why not? The two gender thing is the worst element of life, biggest waste of energy.

The suit also says God has caused "calamitous catastrophes resulting in the wide-spread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants including innocent babes, infants, children, the aged and infirm without mercy or distinction." Chambers also says God "has manifested neither compassion nor remorse, proclaiming that defendant will laugh" when calamity comes.

Interview: Mark Schapiro, toxic products and U.S. Policy
kmcolo
by kmcolo  12-14-2007
An information packed interview. Many goods in the U.S. contain materials that are toxic including toys. These are allowed under U.S. law. The global center of regulatory power shifted in 2005 from Washington to Brussels with expansion of the E.U. The regulation process in Washington is dominated by corporate special interests.

Johanna_G
by Johanna_G  9-26-2007
The HTP uses its unmatched understanding of pollution in people to foster collaboration between scientists and institutions working to uncover the links between environmental contaminants, genetics and disease. While encouraging efforts to understand and prevent pollution-related disease, HTP researchers also advocate for policy changes that protect the fetus and other vulnerable populations from chemical exposures that currently begin even before the moment of birth.

Plant based plastic - No more Wars for Oil.
BobbyRutan
by BobbyRutan  9-19-2007    6
More: Plant based plastics provide an alternative to conventional plastics, especially for polyvinyl chloride (PVC), that relies heavily on extremely toxic feedstocks and additives that have devastating impacts on our health and environment through their production, use and disposal. Many of the chemicals used in PVC production are linked to cancer, birth defects, reproductive harm, and a host of other health problems. In contrast, biobased plastics are generated using renewable materials by converting plants such as corn into plastic. The production of bioplastics can help contribute to rural economic development, providing a steady income for farmers. It also uses fewer fossil fuels compared to petrochemical plastics, even after accounting for the fuel needed to plant and harvest the corn or other feedstocks.
