POPSObama Wins: Bangkok Post - Bangkok, Thailand A full 62 per cent of voters ranked the economy as the key issue of this election, compared to 10 per cent invoking the war in Iraq and 9 per cent rating terrorism or health care highest. Millions already voted in recent weeks in early or absentee voting allowed in 31 states, including key battlegrounds Florida, North Carolina, Colorado and Nevada. Voters waited patiently in serpentine queues early Tuesday to cast ballots. Many had started lining up before dawn, and some braved pouring rain to cast their ballots. It was a bittersweet end to the 21-month campaign for Obama, whose grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, 86, passed away overnight Sunday after a battle with cancer, the Illinois senator revealed Monday.

POPSFacebook in a Crowd A nice anacdote story. Technology ,also, is not a concept to be entertained by and not be changed by. This story clearly reflects a transition period, where one uses a new concept with an old habit. It doesn't work, it never works. We are users of new concepts and as such should be open to changes of how we perceive reality and ourselves.

POPSWomen Defy Labels In Intimacy
I can really identify with this article, and I am so encouraged to see young women having the freedom to explore their sexuality! Still yet, many admit they are afraid to come out to their friends much less family, but that is slowly changing. Being gay is an important part of my life; not an experiment. I've been in love very deeply three times in my life, twice with men, including my husband, whom I love and admire very deeply and once with a woman. All were very different experiences of course, but the woman's love? OMG, it was so bittersweet that I can taste it to this day. Loving her was the experience of a lifetime and I'm so glad I had that chance. I love, admire, and respect her to this day. It's too bad it has taken society this long to be somewhat accepting of very real and honest human emotions. Love has no boundaries for some, and I'm so glad God made me this way. He loves me and that is all that matters and He has given me the ability to love in (cont)

POPSA Very Moving Moment In Recent American Politics >>>>>Romney Takes One for theTeam<<<<< In which Mitt himself answers the question posed recently by InstaGlenn about whether Romney 2008 = Reagan 1976. What’s the best thing about this? The goodwill it’ll earn him among the party establishment for not dragging out the primary? The fond memory it creates in the mind of the base of a man willing to sacrifice his own ambition to support victory in Iraq? The venom it’ll draw from the left about him using the war as political cover for his own failure? Or the fact that it backs Huckabee into a corner by framing the continuation of his own campaign as effectively furthering the Democrats’ plans for withdrawal?

POPSBlue Collar Jobs Disappear And Ohio carried Bush; you go figure! I will never understand how people who suffer the most thought they would benefit from the Bush administration. Regardless, it is all about corporations obligations to the workers to share some of the wealth with them, and to give back to the community that buys their products instead of profit greed and inflated CEO salaries. Don't tell me it can't be done without a sacrifice to the consumer in the cost the product because there are many examples, Costo being one of them.

POPSthe best thing on a rainy day
It's so cold and rainy, all I can think about is the delicious Mexican Hot Chocolate I got on the way home from the mountain yesterday. In my search for an easy recipe I came across this recipe for Mayan Hot Chocolate. I've gotta pass it along to by dad, might be just the thing for Cotton Tree Lodge to serve during the rainy season! In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, add chile pepper to boiling water. Cook until liquid is reduced to 1 cup. Remove chile pepper; strain water and set aside. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cream or milk, vanilla bean and cinnamon stick until bubbles appear around the edge. Reduce heat to low; add chocolate and sugar or honey; whisk occasionally until chocolate is melted and sugar dissolves. Turn off heat; remove vanilla bean and cinnamon stick. Add chile-infused water, a little at a time, tasting to make sure the flavor isn't too strong. If chocolate is too thick, thin with a little more milk. Serve in small cups and offe

POPSGay? Who Cares? "For some of the pioneers from the edgy, embattled, ecstatic "good old days," this may be bittersweet. "But isn't that what everyone wanted 20 years ago?" Gates asks. "Just to be treated like everyone else?"
