POPSTen Years of 'Change' in the UK
Tony, confines himself to doing only a modest amount of harm. I ended up being almost grateful to Tony Blair. Given that he was leader of the Mother of All Champagne Socialist Parties he actually behaved with more wisdom than might have been predicted. And I even came to quite like the guy. he thing I still do not go along with though is why all the vitriol towards George Bush? Sure, back in 2000, I too was seduced like all the rest of the European public by a relentless media derision-fest at his expense. Once I had managed to step aside from all this however and to make up my own mind about him , the mythical, ignorant cowboy moron turned out, to my eyes at least, to be quite a decent, genuine and plain-speaking guy. I would have him any day in preference to the average mealy-mouthed, craven British politician. The kind whose words weave an elaborate linguistic dance choreographed to say absolutely nothing at all, so running scared are they of our great, overpaid TV star politic

POPSCapital Gains tax issues Obama is on the right track but any rise in capital gains taxes should be targeted to people like me who "churn" stocks instead of invest. He's on the wrong track in high capital gains tax on all investment. We should tax consumption instead of investment. Hopefully, Obama, when elected, will listen to guys like Davis, who understand the difference. McCain, respectfully, is clueless (remember "I don't really understand economics") and listening to the rich and the elite on this issue. Lowering capital gains tax will cause more people to CHURN, rather than invest. P.S. I do both.

POPSCash for Honours is the Path of Tony Blair A Political party needs money to function. So they sold favours and honours and gave the world 'democracy'. Isn't it time we are more honest about our attitude towards money and honesty??/

POPSAnother Twist and Turns of Famous Leader We heard how 'Clinton' lied under oath on his relationship with Monica ... 'didn't have proper sex with that woman'. Now Tony Blair is caught in a 'lie' over 'mpney'. Which is worse; Sex or money???

POPSIs there a honest Politician? Are we all holding the 'wrong' end of the 'stck' in thinking that 'politicians' must be 'honest'. Suppose we believe that it is perfectly ok for a person make 'hay' while it 'shines' our minds would be at ease. Increase the penalties for 'wrong' doing, but who would do such a thing when he himself may be caught in it ???

POPSWhen Barack's Berserkers Lost The Plot
'I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion,' she said as she deftly detached journalists from their readers and viewers. 'I'm going to Washington to serve the people of this country.' In Britain, the most snobbish attacks on Margaret Thatcher did not come from aristocrats but from the communist historian Eric Hobsbawm, who opined that Thatcherism was the 'anarchism of the lower middle classes'. George Osborne, of the supposedly compassionate Conservative party, revealed himself to be a playground bully when he derided Gordon Brown for being 'faintly autistic'. In an age when politics is choreographed, voters watch out for the moments when the public-relations facade breaks down and venom pours through the cracks. Their judgment is rarely favourable when it does. Obama knows it. He was warning American liberals to stay away from the Palin family. He understands better than his supporters that it is not a politician's enemies who lose elections, but his friends.

POPSTerror threat against Brown The only thing that Brown should be afraid of is the electorate. Would anyone want to vote for him? Yes! The dumb, the stupid, the ignorant, other MP's with self interests. As his party is not available to the ordinary man on the Clapham bus, maybe wanting to kill him is not at variance to public opinion? But going through with it is an anathema. Brown is killing his party dead, destroying this once great nation, murdering RIGHTS, annihilating responsibility. Only a dumb fuck immigrant won't understand that.
