POPSLoire Valley - France I recently returned from a whirlwind trip through the Loire Valley in France. I visited the famous Chartres Cathedral, a cooking school in Orléans, a porcelain factory in Gien and the Sancerre wine-growing region, where I drank some incredible wines, including Menetou-Salon Blanc, which is by far my favorite wine from the Loire.

POPSSome RNC Delegates Give a Little to Get a Lot In the video, WA GOP delegate, Jacob Brassington recounts how he was bribed during the Washington State GOP Convention in an attempt to sway his principled Ron Paul support away to a lesser presidential candidate. That was just at the STATE convention, I am waiting to hear how much was offered at the NATIONAL convention, and I am betting it was more than $500 plus expenses! Would you sell out???

POPSBastille Day (NOT Independence Day) Bastille Day falls during the Tour de France and is traditionally a day on which French riders try to take a stage victory for France, working harder than they might otherwise. Any stage victory in the Tour by a Frenchman has become cause for celebration, as victories have become rare for the French since Bernard Hinault stopped riding the Tour.
