POPSMoveOn.org Calls Petraeus a Traitor Didn't this Congress 'approve' this General's appointment to go to Iraq? Didn't they ask for a report? He ought to hand out blank sheets of paper to them all, considering they've all dismissed his assessment even before he's made it. Our military's efforts and progress has been undermined and ridiculed by these haters. Mark my word, they are doing nothing to help our soldiers get home sooner. They embolden our enemies there, weaken the resolve of the Iraqi people and it's struggling government, and encourage our allies to desert the conflict there because this creates doubts about America's resolve. You can disagree about why we went there and people are free to speak and vote their consciences, but this kind of rhetoric says to me that 'the pot is calling the kettle black'.
