POPS Chicago’s “Good Times” Canceled: DynOmite! All I have to say is, where the hell were our international protocol and intelligence teams? Why didn’t someone over at the State Department tell us about this Danish policy before we put everything on the line to bring the Olympic games to the capital of Pay-To-Play cities? We just assumed that we would be treated to the same fawning adulation and deference we get in the USA: the country that invented free speech. We arrived with soaring expectations, only to have the whole thing blow up in our face. Thanks, State, once again. I’m beginning to think that Hillary didn’t really want that job. Insults are under threat in many countries. The World Press Freedom Committee earlier this year published a survey, "The Right to Offend, Shock or Disturb," which details how laws against insults are being used to squelch free speech, including opposition to the government. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB20001424052748704471504574451712299324476.html

POPSObama will cut border patrol on US-Mexican border Do I see a pattern here? Obama continues to fail to protect our border... moreso, he decreases that protection. Illegal Jordanian tries to blow up building in Dallas. Obama is trying to destroy our economy. Obama is trying to disarm our country of our nuclear force. An al Qaeda operative couldn't do a better job of bringing us to our knees. Obama is a trojan horse.

POPSCharlie Watts Quits The Rolling Stones Charlie joined the Rolling Stones in January, 1963. He didn’t expect it would last. In fact, he kept his day job for several months until the band started to feel like a career. Charlie’s decision to quit the band comes a three years short of the Stones 50th anniversary. The Stones A Bigger Bang tour ran from August 2005 to August 2007. It was the highest tour of all-time.

POPS"Clean me" - dirty car art by Scott Wade Drawings using dirt ? I'm impressed! I love black & white drawings and Scott Wade is very talented. But ....personally, the impermanence of it (his drawings being washed away) would be too hard to take after spending hours on it. Very good thing that his day job is a graphic designer.

POPSU.S. Health Care Stallen in Senate. Now Dead?
I suppose this is why the President wasn't so 'upbeat,' last night in his TV Press conference. I sure don't envy him his job. This Demo Senate leader who has failed the President is up for re-election and I think he should be defeated. Now it's clear the Democratic Congress is NOT supporting the President. What to do? IMO.. Lots of these Democratic Congressional folks should be defeated. I'd suggest voting for fresh faces in the Democratic 2010 Primary (#1)...and if that don't work out vote for a third part in the 2010 elections. Voting Third Party in the USA winnder-take-all system is mainly throwing away your vote...but I'd suggest that rather than voting Republican....and I'd suggest voting for change, new candidates in the Democratic primary #1. It's a bitch. Reid sucks. It's been quite a battle to get this far and I think a lot of very, very good things have been accomplished, but now that Democratic leadership has jumped on the bandwagon against O

POPSCheney's 9/11: KSM, not Bin Laden, "Blew Up WTC" Cheney contradicts official 9/11 story twice on CBS--i.e. the man responsible for the attack and the means. The WTC did not "collapse", then, it was "blown up". So Cheney revises the official story for us. Argue with Cheney if you want, he does not point to Bin Laden at all, while the MSM is silent about this! Shouldn't this be a headline since the public believes otherwise? The reason Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was water-boarded over 183 times in a month was to obtain a FALSE confession, which was also "redacted". See Time's article here. It must be admitted at this point that the government now blames KSM for 9/11, not Bin Laden (whom the FBI said there is "no hard evidence" that he was involved in 9/11.). So how does this affect the war in Afghanistan then, an alleged "hunt for bin Laden"? The lies are unravelling by the very men who told them. Watch CBS video link at bottom of clip.

POPSJoblessness Spurs Shift in Japan's Views on Poverty Why is it that efforts to end poverty is the sole domain of ‘left-wing radicals’? And the only time serious attention is paid to the problem is when the main stream is faced with becoming a part of it? Concerned about their own job security, many Japanese are seeing the homeless not as troubled individuals seeking handouts, but as victims of a failing economy and a government system that offered no safety nets. Isn’t it amazing how your attitude towards government policy changes when that policy directly affects you?

POPSE.U. President Blasts Obama's Economic Policies
President Obama is doing a fantastic job, beyond all expectations, doing more good in two months that Bush did in two years. It's been breathtaking in scope and depth. But, OMG, these dudes now all in the White House are playing with dynamite. We'd be missing out on the adventure and excitement if we thought any of this was "politics as ususal," or if we thought the absurd and sickening mainstream media focus was what it was all about (Teleprompters? Today they were talking about Obama's teleprompter!?) Gads! Anyhow, even some fundamental principles and ideas of economy and capitalism are being played around with and because of the one word: GUARANTEES, it sure could all blow up in everybody's face. It's massive amounts of cash they're making and spending but astronomically amounts of loans and risks being "GUARANTEED." Probably 2 much. But daring, 4sure. Of course 'realistic,' Europe doesn't like it. Myself, I like fireworks & credit. www.americancitizens

POPSSmoking Gun: Caller Explains Stimulus As Obama Democratic Patronage System!
So they're gonna hold some back and that's where... the real bucks will be spent, right up close to the election. ... It's not a stimulus package, it's not pork! It's a job patronage system ... there's gonna be more working for the Democrats in a patronage system than the United States Army... And the jobs are gonna be camouflaged in a million different ways, whether you're workin' for the city, or workin' for the state, but when the election comes around, you're gonna be obligated to go out and get that vote... ...like ACORN, except the jobs will be larger scale. I just wanted to say that, because I was really depressed when they told me, because I really thought they'd be different. If I've done nothing else in my life, I've informed what that bill really is... it's a job patronage system. POPSSuspicious: Mexican Minister Killed in Plane Crash Could be a hit job, for he was also a rising political figure, and had many other officials on the plane, including former asst. Attorney General (read Prosecutor). Has alot of the marks of a political targeting (Mexican mafia cartels), not just an accident. It crashed into the financial district too. Someone was "sending a strong message" perhaps, that "accidents can happen" to those who mess with the drug cartels. Video by BBC at link. Who wants to be the next Interior Minister in Mexico (involved in battling drug trade)? Any takers?

POPSThe Health Care Issue So what would happen? The good news, such as it is, is that more people would buy individual insurance. Indeed, the total number of uninsured Americans might decline marginally under the McCain plan — although many more Americans would be without insurance than under the Obama plan. But the people gaining insurance would be those who need it least: relatively healthy Americans with high incomes. Why? Because insurance companies want to cover only healthy people, and even among the healthy only those able to pay a lot in addition to their tax credit would be able to afford coverage (remember, it’s a $5,000 credit, but the average family policy actually costs more than $12,000). Meanwhile, the people losing insurance would be those who need it most: lower-income workers who wouldn’t be able to afford individual insurance even with the tax credit, and Americans with health problems whom insurance companies won’t cover.

POPSHis Temper Would Place This Country at Risk "What happens if he gets angry in crisis" in the presidency?" Hinz asked. "It's difficult enough to be a negotiator, but it's almost impossible when you're the type of guy who's so angry at anybody who doesn't do what he wants. It's the president's job to negotiate and stay calm. I don't see that he has that quality." "I've just seen too much. That temper, the intolerance: It worries me."

POPSThe 10 Most Worthless College Majors Philosophy Why It Won’t Help You Get a Job: This isn’t ancient Greece: No one is going to pay you money, or allow you to sodomize their attractive son, in exchange for your knowledge of existence. Never has there been an employer who’s said “Man, we’re having all kinds of problems, I wish we had someone on our team who could reference and draw conclusions from the story of Siddhartha that would pull up our fourth quarter numbers.” I took many philosophy classes and it involved reading and smoking a shit pile of weed. You don’t need to pay 20,000 dollars a year to do that. All you need is twenty dollars and a library card. What Job You’ll End Up With: Thanks to your extensive knowledge of philosophy, you’re now self-aware enough to know that most jobs out there will make you totally miserable. So most likely you’ll wait tables part time and hope someone starts paying you for the bi-monthly entries on your blog.
