POPSBroccoli Onion Chickpea soup Serve topped with whatever you like: chopped fresh chives, a drizzle of olive oil, some coarsely grated Pecorino Romano, a dollop of sour cream, a slice or two of sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack, some nice blue cheese crumbles, or absolutely nothing at all. This would be vegetarian with a veggie broth. You can also add some cream.

POPSCupcake pop ideas From Bakerella. These are such cute ideas! I have to say that the original recipe for cake balls (red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting) is so delicious. I have made cake balls several times now and next time I will have to try these cake pops and/or cupcake bites (no stick). The blue cake is an amazing color.

POPSBorn 1920-1979? Congratulations...
No one was able to reach us all day.And we were OK. We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem. We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computer! s, no Internet or chat rooms....... WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them! We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents. We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever. We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not poke out very many eyes. We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just wal

POPSWhat makes the perfect burger? Official grilling season is here! What better way to welcome the warm weather than with a juicy, all-American hamburger. We know a thing or two about creating perfect all-beef burgers. They are piling buns high with blue cheese, mushrooms and chile peppers. If you are looking for something on the lighter side, give one of our poultry burgers or even a seafood burger a try. They are guaranteed to wow even the most discerning gourmet. We also have quite a few vegetarian burgers for a healthier take on this classic sandwich.

POPSGlogg A favorite recipe in Scandinavia. I remember mom making glogg when I was a kid. It always smelled so good, but was a no-no for us kids. It turns out that you can make a non-alc version either by boiling off the alcohol or starting with juice instead of wine. According to Apartment Therapy , it's served with gingerbread and blue cheese. That sounds really good. This recipe from The World Wide Gourmet doesn't call for oranges, which is good news. AT also recommends a visit to Ikea for some more ideas in a Swedish flavor. I may have to do that this year.

POPSAirports warned of suspected dry runs The four seizures were described this way: # San Diego, July 7. A U.S. person either a citizen or a foreigner legally here checked baggage containing two ice packs covered in duct tape. The ice packs had clay inside them rather than the normal blue gel. # Milwaukee, June 4. A U.S. person's carryon baggage contained wire coil wrapped around a possible initiator, an electrical switch, batteries, three tubes and two blocks of cheese. The bulletin said block cheese has a consistency similar to some explosives. # Houston, Nov. 8, 2006. A U.S. person's checked baggage contained a plastic bag with a 9-volt battery, wires, a block of brown clay-like minerals and pipes. # Baltimore, Sept. 16, 2006. A couple's checked baggage contained a plastic bag with a block of processed cheese taped to another plastic bag holding a cellular phone charger.

POPSTo all the kids, who had survived the ..1960s,70!!! If YOU are one of them . . CONGRATULATIONS! You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good…… And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave (and lucky) their parents were.

POPSMashed Cauliflower Has anyone here tried mashed cauliflower? I've heard a lot of people talking about it, but I've never tried it.
