Red Primer for Children and Diplomats Part II by Victor Vashi
merrie
by merrie  8-21-2008    2
Red Army invasion of Georgia The Red Army invasion of Georgia also known as the Soviet-Georgian War (February 15 – March 17, 1921) was a military campaign by the Soviet Russian (RSFSR) Red Army against the Democratic Republic of Georgia (DRG) aimed at overthrowing the local Social-Democratic (Menshevik) government and installing the Bolshevik regime in the country. The conflict was a result of expansionist policy by the Soviets, who aimed at control of the same territories which had been part of Imperial Russia until the turbulent events of World War I, as well as the revolutionary efforts of mostly Russia-based Georgian Bolshevik elite, who did not enjoy sufficient support in their native country to seize power without foreign intervention. Red Primer for Children and Diplomats

by merrie  8-21-2008    1
The Order of the October Revolution (Russian: Орден Октябрьской Революции, or Orden Oktyabr'skoy Revolyutsii) was instituted on October 31, 1967, in time for the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. It was awarded to individuals or groups for services furthering communism or the state, or in enhancing the defences of the Soviet Union. It ranked second amongst the Soviet orders, after the Order of Lenin. Nicholas II of Russia born Nikolay Alexandrovich Romanov (18 May 1868 – 17 July 1918) was the last Tsar of Russia, King of Poland, and Grand Duke of Finland. Nicholas II ruled from 1894 until his abdication in 1917. His rule ended with the Russian Revolution of 1917 in which he and his family were imprisoned first in the Alexander Palace at Tsarskoe Selo, then later the Governor's Mansion in Tobolsk. Finally, at the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg, Nicholas and his family were executed by the Bolsheviks on the night of July 17, 1918.

DoD Lab Helps To Resolve Century-Old Russian Mystery
merrie
by merrie  7-16-2008    2
But the remains of two children, a boy and a girl, were still missing, opening the door for some to speculate that maybe there were survivors of the execution. Now, the lab has again helped the Russian government by identifying the remains of those two children, found last year in a shallow grave about 70 feet from the larger gravesite. “There’s no doubt that nobody escaped,” said Dr. Michael Coble, the research section chief for the lab. “We can conclude here that based on this evidence, we have the two missing children.” “These types of cases are so challenging that we can apply what we learn in those cases to the current-day effort of mission,” Finelli said. “We test ourselves with these very hard cases, and then we can apply it to the casework to account for our fallen. So it’s always a little bit of a selfish motivation.” http://www.answers.com/nicholas II

George Bush's Socialist Solution to Fannie & Freddie
DanaGarrett
by DanaGarrett  7-13-2008
It's a good thing Bush is a Republican. Otherwise his federal bailout would qualify him as a "red." Like Regan with the savings and loan crisis, lurking in the hearts of "conservatives" is a quasi Bolshevik to rescue them once they've wrecked the economy through permitting rapacious profit-taking and inadequate regulation.

Czar Nicholas II Nine Decade Mystery Solved

Alexei was one of the more compelling of the victims, drawing sympathy because of his hemophilia. His mother's terror of the disease and fear that he would not live to gain the throne were key to her falling under the thrall of the hypnotic and sexually ravenous self-declared holy man Rasputin, who exerted vast influence on the royal family. Rumors persisted that some of the family had survived and escaped. Claims by women to be Anastasia were particularly prominent, although there were also pretenders to Alexei's and Maria's identities. "It was 99.9 percent clear they had all been killed; now with these shards, it's 100 percent," said Nadia Kizenko, a Russian scholar at the University at Albany, State University of New York. "They say that as long as the last soldier remains unburied, the war continues," Lukyanov told AP. "So long as the last victim of Bolshevik terror and the Communist regime remains unrehabilitiated, the repression will continue."

When the Red Red Revolution Called: Big Surprise???

In the Communist seizure of power in Russia, the Jewish role was probably critical. Of the 12 persons who took part in this decisive gathering, there were 4 Russians (including Lenin), 1 Georgian (Stalin), 1 Pole (Dzerzhinsky), and 6 Jews. To direct the takeover, a seven-man "Political Bureau" was chosen. It consisted of two Russians (Lenin and Bubnov), one Georgian (Stalin), and four Jews (Trotsky, Sokolnikov, Zinoviev, and Kamenev). To direct the takeover, a seven-man "Political Bureau" was chosen. It consisted of two Russians (Lenin and Bubnov), one Georgian (Stalin), and four Jews (Trotsky, Sokolnikov, Zinoviev, and Kamenev). Meanwhile, the Petersburg (Petrograd) Soviet -- whose chairman was Trotsky -- established an 18-member "Military Revolutionary Committee" to actually carry out the seizure of power. It included eight (or nine) Russians, one Ukrainian, one Pole, one Caucasian, and six Jews. Finally, to supervise the organization of the uprising, the Bolshevik Central Com

WW4? Don’t Flatter Them - John Derbyshire
Kore7
by Kore7  7-18-2006    4
Derbyshire grants the Cold War as worthy of the moniker "WW3", but all this talk of World Wars 4, 5, & 6 is "nonsense on stilts." Leave it to grumpy, old Derbyshire to keep raining on the parade of his fellow young, flighty, reactionary neocons at the National Review with heavy doses of realism, skepticism and conservatism...in the true sense of the word. This is not a war, and by calling it one, we flatter the jihadists far beyond their deserts. No jihadist nation — let alone any jihadist group — can field an army against us. We are frightening ourselves with bogeymen.
