POPSPalin as Russia Expert Becomes GOP Talking Point It's a measure of how weak the pro-Palin argument is that this becomes a Republican talking point. Cindy McCain could be excused for saying it, but John "former Ambassador to the UN" Bolton? He knows it's total BS. The Palin part of the team offers a very weak agreement with this argument, revealing that they're aware of just how lame it is; "Alaska’s geographic location certainly contributes to Governor Palin’s experience since she has dealt with trade and economic issues as a result, but it is only one part of her overall experience."

POPS'Ethnic cleansing continues' All the while Europe and the rest of the World stand by and do nothing...except condemn and talk. Inaction only emboldens Putin. Where will he move next? I wonder what John Bolton would do?

POPSMcCain vs UN and the American people McCain wants to throw off the "shackles" of the UN that prevents the U.S. from becoming a more powerful and dominant presence in the world. This coming from a man who clearly doesn't understand foreign policy and firmly believes that "might is right". We cannot afford to allow this fool to become our president.

POPSPastor Rick Warren's Saddleback Civil Forum
McCain added the two appointments Alito and Roberts are his recent favorites. When asked does evil exist and if so how would handle it? Ignore it, negotiate with it, confront it or defeat it Obama: verbose, wordy ..... he would confront it but also equivocated on what evil is. "We have to have some humility on the issue on the of confronting". Evil has been been committed in the pursuit of good. *sigh* McCain: "DEFEAT IT" huge applause. McCain went on to describe Radical Islam as the greatest threat of the 21at century. He said he would pursue bin Laden “to the gates of Hell,” Gotta love that. Obama's most important advisers: Michelle (the "proud" wife, the grandmother "a typical white person", and then a bumch of politicians - Ted Kennedy, Nunn, Biden et al McCain's most important advisers: Gen. David Petreaus, head of US troops in Iraq; US Rep. and veteran civil rights leader John Lewis, D-Ga.; and former eBay CEO Meg Whitman, a top adviser to his campaign.

POPSUS and Iran "Diplomacy" Starts--"Good Cop" Tactic But coercing Iran to stop its nuclear enrichment program is the goal. So earlier we saw "bad cop" war games and rhetoric by US and Israel, and now this multinational "diplomacy" will play "good cop", to force the will of the US and Israel on Iran. That is not diplomacy, and the shift is temporary, for the election season. The result (which might be a goal too) will be that the oil traders will sell and lower oil prices will come (as they already did on first news of this), and this game will probably be played between now and Nov. 5th (to help McCain), and then the war-mongering will start again, and possibly an attack by Israel ( per neocon John Bolton's clipmark earlier ) to force the next President's hand into the conflict. Bush does not change from his neocon advisers blueprint. This pragmatism is for political expediency and economic benefit for election season purposes.

POPSFleetwood MP votes to wallow in the trough Joan Humble, conspicuous by her absence from many crucial debates mainly the Defence Procurement Debate, has put both her feet in the gravy train trough. When a high percentage of Fleetwood's elderly are struggling to make ends meet, Ms Humble will be buying TV's and other such luxuries - at the pensioner's expense. I know Fleetwood has a history of social equity, but the good people of Fleetwood are usually not so stupid as to select a representative who shows little appreciation of the plight of the poor in her constituency. If you did not know your MP before, you certainly know her now.

POPSInsane ex-Ambassador to UN Bolton predicts Bombs “An Obama victory would rule out military action by the Israelis because they would fear the consequences given the approach Obama has taken to foreign policy,” said Mr Bolton, who was Mr Bush’s ambassador to the UN from 2005 to 2006. “With McCain they might still be looking at a delay. Given that time is on Iran’s side, I think the argument for military action is sooner rather than later absent some other development.” The Iran policy of Mr McCain, whom Mr Bolton supports, was “much more realistic than the Bush administration’s stance”.

POPSThe Israeli "Dry Run"On Iran's Nuclear Facilities
Looks like there would be a side benefit from an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities: the blind, toothless UN atomic "watchdog" -- Mohamed El Baradei -- promised to resign if Iran is targeted. US officials reported on Friday that more than 100 Israeli F-16s and F-15s staged a complex operation over the Mediterranean during the first week of June. The aircraft traversed more than 900 miles, about the distance from Israel to Iran's Natanz nuclear enrichment facility; the exercise also tested the refueling of planes and helicopters tasked with rescuing downed pilots. El Baradei wasn't pleased. He warned that any attack on Iran would turn the entire Middle East "into a fireball." Russia's response: as Iran's preeminent nuclear technology supplier, Russia is concerned with its cash flow. It also warned Israel not to attack. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov instructed Israel not to use force, claiming there is no proof Iran is trying to acquire atomic weapons.

POPSBolton: Israel Will Attack Iran before Inauguration after election, before inauguration. This neocon with close ties to Israel speaks openly...for Israel. This would force the next President's hand is their strategy, to control US foreign and war policy. subtitle: US ambassador speaks for Israel.

POPSFox anchor: Iranian missile could hit US [not!] Alas, fair and balanced, Iran is 6,340 miles away, and the range of Iran's Shahab missile is 1200 miles. Nevermind. How will we be afraid enough if we're careful about the facts? How will we envision impending doom, or cheer for necessary war? I can "only hope the smoking gun is not a mushroom cloud."

POPSJohn Bolton on Iran Bolten is echoing my sentiments. I agree that an attack on Iran is insane. I have found it very disheartening that the Bush administration has blown a prime opportunity to force Iran's hand. Three years ago Iran was primed for economic collapse and the Iranian people were on our side. It seems to me an opportunity has been wasted.
