POPSpersonal computer The author recommends to use a PC for schools, i.e, :"If you are buying a Mac for school, remember that much of the software and technical support provided by colleges is geared towards Windows, so even if you buy a Mac, you might end up having to pay for a copy of Windows to use via Boot Camp."

POPSSchool bags can be a pain in the neck When i went to school the textbooks weighed a ton, but I end up working out how to strap my bag to an airport trolly, and tow it behind my bike. Never had any trouble. at least not with my bike. School on the other hand was one of my pet hates, but i worked out how to make it so they weren't looking for me, then i could go home...but that's another story

POPSA little Kiss The older lady was thinking, "Isn't it wonderful that even in this permissive day and age there are still young women who have a little self-respect and dignity?" The young woman, shaking her head and greatly puzzled, asked herself, "Why in the world would any man in his right mind want to kiss an old fossil like that when I'm sitting here?" The Sergeant Major, rubbing his sore face, was outraged that any woman could ever think that a man in his position would try to sneak a kiss in the dark. And the private, grinning from ear to ear, was thinking, "What a crazy and mixed up world this is when a private can kiss the back of his hand and then smack a Sergeant Major in the face and get away with it!"

POPS'He Should Never Have Gone to Iraq' Sad really how the government keeps feeding these young men and women into that hell and many who are so incapacitated by one affliction or another; that it is indeed a crime that must, ought, to be answered too.

POPS"Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses" The academicians' theme songs are "Kumbaya" and "Imagine," while Jacksonians prefer Toby Keith: "Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses." It was when they lost their warrior edge that Democrats started losing the White House, winning only in unusual circumstances such as the Watergate scandal or in that brief window in history (from the fall of the Berlin Wall through September 11) when foreign threats had faded out of the picture. "Priests . . . write books and sometimes verse," and indeed, Obama wrote two of them. Their campaigns become crusades, fueled as much by an inchoate longing for a 'new politics'. "Obama is not at all a warrior, and is something of an academic," writes Barone: He is all college campus and not at all boot camp. He has campaigned consistently as an opponent of military action in Iraq. He is up against John McCain, a true Jacksonian if ever there was one. Of course, he dispatched another Jacksonian in Hillary Clinton.

POPSPrivate Benjamin Or GI Jane? Brutal Bridal Boot Camp First we're all measured and weighed. I'm here for one reason only - to look my best in my wedding photos. However, my BMI (Body Mass Index) is just about spot on as I'm 5ft 3in and 8 stone, so I'm told I might struggle, having less excess fat to draw on for energy. dinner is made up of strictly controlled (ie meagre) portions of soup, a small piece of salmon and a few strips of vegetable. The hard work starts tomorrow with circuit training on the lawn at 6am sharp. I turn in feeling hungry and anxious. Standing on the scales on the final morning, I've lost five pounds, and an inch from my thighs and hips. One of the other girls has lost a whopping 12 pounds and dropped not one, but two dress sizes. The Camp gave me the bridal body I had hoped for, and equipped me with the know-how to stay trim well into my married life. But most impressive of all, I survived the week.

POPSMcCain Presidency: Neocons on Steroids "McCain would make Bush look like Ghandi", is what some are saying, and here is why: Take a look at what insiders say about McCain's foreign policy. Then look at his list of neoconservative advisers, particularly William Kristol (who led the Project for New American Century and their blueprint for a "new middle east") and former CIA director James Woolsey, whom former Colin Powell chief of Staff Wilkerson calls "scary". Note his plan for a "League of Democracies" (this is the global plan for PAX AMERICANA, per Clarence K. Streit in 1942) to "bypass the balky United Nations" for a more unilateral approach to gaining international support for war. McCain, though despised by many conservatives, is a dangerous neocon weapon of mass destruction who indeed will make Bush look like Ghandi.

POPSInstead Watch My Top Picks Ok, I'm not a lesbian, but I'm not exactly heterosexual either. So watch my top picks in this particular genre because I'm right half the time :D 1. Fried Green Tomatoes Unfortunately the movie version has been "sanitized" to attract the heterosexual audience. Even though it fills my emotional cache I still wish they would have had the guts to lift it above that level, but I'm a sucker for the southern accent. 2. Aimee and Jaguar This movie is huge in it's structure and huge in it's emotion. AND it's based on a true story. It's great love in times that make love seem impossible. 3. Loving Annabelle. OK, so it's a sexy, cheesy, student/teacher, kinda disturbing love affair with Simone stuck in a loveless affair with a man (of course). I'd watch it again just for the music though. 4. But I'm a Cheerleader. This boot camp is so absurd that it's funny. And the moral of this review is that I cannot come up with 5 good lesbian movies. What a shame.

POPSInternet Addicts Get Sent To Bootcamp I have no doubt that the internet can be addicting, and that some of these geeky kids desperately need to get away from the computer and get some sun. But a government-funded deprogramming camp seems way extreme. Why not have a bootcamp for kids who stay inside and read too much?
