POPSAtheism, a positive pillar Some clips from an article about a group of atheists attempting to wise up the bigots about their humanity. Wouldn't be hard to show, but a lot of ignorance woven into the culture of religion, to overcome.

POPSIn Defence of Social Workers This blog does not reproduce the whole article, so I implore all followers to go to the original and read the whole piece. If you are from the UK try and get an reaction from your MP. If you have one like mine, because I am not homosexual, a thief, a miscreant and a former regular soldier, you will get no response. But try anyway

POPSElection of Obama spurs "hundreds" of race threats, crimes Four North Carolina State University students admitted writing "Let's shoot that (N-word) in the head," in a tunnel meant for free speech. At Standish, Maine, a sign inside the Oak Hill General Store read: "Osama Obama Shotgun Pool. Stabbing, shooting, roadside bombs, they all count. Let's hope someone wins." Second- and third-grade students on a school bus in Rexburg, Idaho, chanted "assassinate Obama," a district official said. Black figures were hanged by nooses from trees on Mount Desert Island, Maine, the Bangor Daily News reported. Crosses were burned in yards of Obama supporters in Hardwick, N.J., and Apolacan Township, Pa. Their time is coming an end, and they know it: whites will no longer be the majority population in the US by 2050.

POPSFederal Air Marshals Too Busy Being Criminals to Protect You The Federal Air Marshal Service presents the image of an elite undercover force charged with making split-second decisions that could mean the difference between stopping a terrorist and shooting an innocent passenger. The Department of Homeland Security's inspector general also flagged gaps in the background checks. "We can reassure the public that these dedicated professionals go out there every day and put their lives on the line to make sure that everyone is safe," Bray says. Before 9/11, the Air Marshal Service was a nearly forgotten force of 33 agents with a $4.4 million annual budget. Now housed in the Transportation Security Administration, the agency has a $786 million budget and an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 air marshals, although the official number is classified.

POPSFrance Backs Russia's Demand to Stop USA Missile Base in Poland
Also talk of a pan-European security pact. I'm stunned and impressed. I urge all Europe, all Europeans to support the French President. This was a for real nuclear showdown, like the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. I really thought a city in Poland, or others in Europe were going to get nuked. NOTHING IS RESOLVED YET. The USA plans to put nukes on the Russian border are still in place. There is no way - because of American ideology about Russia - that Obama can stick his neck out and stop these missile base plans. But now BOTH France and Russia oppose them. If other EU countries join them -- if there is massive street protest (like some are doing in Poland and Czech Republic) this could give Obama an "excuse," -- to go along with the will of Europe; then he'd be going along with the will of Europe instead of backing down from the Russians. Plus - pan-European security pact? Gads! NATO out the window. NATO expansion out the windown. Boy, Bush really @#Red up. He IS

POPSCeltic coin cache found continues: The Eburones "put up strong resistance to Caesar's journeys of conquest," Roymans said. The silver coins were made by tribes further to the north — possible evidence of cooperation against Caesar, he said. Both coin types have triple spirals on the front, a common Celtic symbol. The two other known caches of Eburones coins have been found in neighboring Belgium and Germany. Maastricht city spokeswoman Carla Wetzels said the value of the coins is not known — their worth is primarily historical. The Belgian cache of similar size was estimated at around 175,000 euros, or $220,000. The farmer who owned the land agreed to sell his interest to the city for an undisclosed sum. Curfs, a teacher at a nearby junior college, continues to own the 11 coins he found, but has lent them to the City of Maastricht on a long-term basis. The coins will go on display at the Centre Ceramique museum in Maastricht this weekend.

POPSWomen finally allowed on Jerusalem Buses "When Black-Eyed Peas played in Jerusalem, the bus company photo-shopped Fergie out of the band posters. Boy, was Fergie fuming like an angry minx about this when she came out on stage. Clearly she likes to be on the bus, in the driver's seat. Time was running out for the youthful party, so they approached an advocacy group, the Israel Religious Action Center, whose lawyer Einat Hurvitz rushed the case to the high court on Nov. 8, three days before the vote. Next morning, the judge heard the case and scolded Egged's behavior as "shameful'. Wake Up, Jerusalemites rushed out and plastered their posters on as many buses as they could find, and a sympathetic Israeli press covered the event, giving them more P.R. then they could ever have dreamed of."

POPS8-year old victim of violence, rampaging in video game industry. She described said her son as a normal boy who plays video games nonstop , dotes on his new dog, a boxer, and enjoys playing softball and basketball with his father. Ms. Bloomfield also confirmed that Mr. Romero had recently bought their son a .22 rifle for hunting, a common pastime of young boys and their fathers in this rugged town. Little boy! POPSBrown shames the nation I am not going to show any gory pictures of this unfortunate child. Needless i say to the anti capital punishment minority, I will swing from their legs as they hang outside Haringey Town Hall. What is equally as offensive was Gordon brown's reaction as leader of this nation, to David Cameron's legitimate questions. Now Labour, defend both! And to Ssafa. This can happen under your watch as long as you think your jaunts to Luff-burra are more important than your obligation to care for ex-service men and their children under the age of 16. So come on Gen Ross, answer your personal mail and reply to the anxiety of your caseworkers. Or leave it to the incompetent minnions in your midst.

POPSWho Would Be A Good Pick For AG? How About That Woman. . . . .
who erected the "wall" between the CIA & FBI? uh, NO!!! pointing to her experiences at both Fannie Mae and the Sept. 11 commission." To that, my response is to jump up and down with both hands waving frantically as I shout, "Damned right we are! Damned right!" Short of appointing an actual member of al Qaeda, I cannot imagine a more offensive symbolic repudiation of the Global War on Terror — nor a more enthusiastic embrace of the chronic mismanagement, cronyism, and graft which led to this fall's credit crisis — than the appointment of Jamie Gorelick as attorney general. When Obama choose an amoral, souless Hard Left hitman like Rahm Emanuel to be his chief of staff, I was willing to grant that such is his right for such a position, and I didn't even grumble. Indeed, because Emanuel is likely to be effective in doing his principal's wishes, that simply means that Barack Obama himself can be held strictly accountable for his administration's successes and fai
