POPSPresidential First Dogs The last dog is of course, little Barney. I personally liked the First Cat Socks best, but I'm a cat person. I wonder what the new First Dog will be named? "Bark Obama", I heard. .:) Harry S. Truman & Feller The 33rd President once famously said, "You want a friend in Washington? Get a dog." Evidently he didn't care much for friends, as he regifted a cocker spaniel, given to him as an unsolicited Christmas present in 1947, to the White House physician. Dog lovers around the country assailed the President for surrendering Feller, who came to be known as The Unwanted Dog.

POPS'Joe the Plumber' Complains About Media Attention Look buddy, you don't get to hold a press conference and then complain that the media's giving you too much attention. You especially don't get to do it on a cable news network show. In related news, McCain accuses Democrats of " smearing " Wurzelbacher -- as if all that stuff about him not actually being licensed, being behind on his taxes, and being opposed to Social Security are Democrats' fault.

Take the matter up with the country of Alaska. Have them file a suit against someone in another country and see how far you get. Turn in your passport, your birth rights, your American flags, your federal subsidies, and your federally protected civil rights. You can have back what you paid into Social Security as of today. Sorry, past taxes non-refundable, but the good news is we won't be asking you to pay taxes in 2009, or ever again. I think it's high time we start seeing other people.
