And I can see how a constant humming would be annoying. Vertigo, etc. But I'm not sure I understand the "destroys scenic views" complaint. I mean, windmills look really cool.

POPSSublime Thrill of Terror Hard to clip but interesting source for those who thrill to dark terrors. First part of clip is Kant. Since the preconceptualised object is not present, as in the perception of beauty, sublime (cp sublimation too) experiences are beyond neatness and categorisation, and whether or not one has experienced the sublime (as opposed, say, to a confusion engendered by bricolage) is not assignable to truth value or expression.
