Meaning burnt offering. These innocent civilians were incinerated alive. The US has always been very good & fanatically diligent at this type of genocide.

tip: how to tarka ground spices without burning them when cooking Indian food
Lexica
by Lexica  6-14-2008    2
This sounds like it would work much better than the other "tip" I came across. "Add the cayenne to the hot oil, then add a few drops of water to stop it cooking." Have you ever tried adding "a few drops of water" to hot oil? Splatter city, and not very effective at stopping the cooking.

Smoke a Pack a Day... or move to Cairo
apple white
by apple white  10-23-2007    5
This comes as no surprise to me. The entire time I was in Cairo I coughed, hacked and eye watered my way through each day. I asked my chain smoking friend why he bothered to smoke when he could just breathe the air. Worst pollution I personally have ever had to live through. Luckily enough I was able to escape by heading home, unlike most everyone else stuck there.

by Johanna_G  8-27-2007    6
Khanaqin (Khanakin, Xanaqin, Xaneqîn) is a city in eastern Iraq, south of Kurdish regions. In 9/6/2006 all the members of the city council of Khanaqin demanded that the city be separated from control of the Diyala governorate and be allowed to join the Autonomous Kurdistan region. In December 2007 there will be a referendum including the city to the Kurdish controlled north. en.wikipedia.org As for so-called honour killings see also this clip , this one , and this one . Stop war-No DalMolin Airport in Vicenza- Part I
farfalla294
by farfalla294  7-11-2007
I'll start clipping something about what's happening in my city. In February there's been a great pacific manifestation against this project of war, many American pacifistic have been here to support us. The presidium continues his activity becoming biggest and strongest, but there have been serious threats against the movement. I'm trying to get what I can find in English, and some images, to explain what's happening. This Airport concerns peace danger for all the world!

Ancient Burnt City Fortune-Teller's Artificial Eye Found
ShamanicShift
by ShamanicShift  3-1-2007    1
Too bad, thought a child like part of me! This wise woman's relic will now be locked up where no one can touch or hold it. My childish self is wishing this treasure would have stayed buried in the earth longer or that at least it would have been found by an ordinary kid with a wide and deep imagination - who could keep it top secret for years, then pass it on to a grandchild! I know - what an irresponsible thought and silly, selfish notion! But that childish part of myself is often like that and not afraid to admit it.

Harris said the primary reason for the artificial eyeball would not have been medical. "She could have worn a patch, but perhaps her family wanted her to look her best for public appearances," he explained. Damn the wealthy!!;) I'm sure all the other girls back then would have wanted the fake eye too.
