POPSBurton Summer Session -- Keir Dillon What happens when you take three pro snowboarders out of their element and throw them into New York City? We found out when we interviewed Keir Dillon, JP Solberg and Kelly Clark of the Burton Snowboards team last week in their pimp-ass NYC showroom. Besides the summer shred, we touched base on scoping hotties, killing sleds and shark attacks. First up in this three-part Summer Session is Vancouver, BC, local and all-around backside wall blaster, Keir Dillon … enjoy.

POPS Socialist Warning Signs Look at this radical diatribe (editor’s note — is “radical” the new “racist”? Just askin’): In the radio interview, Obama delved into whether the civil rights movement should have gone further than it did, so that when “dispossessed peoples” appealed to the high court on the right to sit at the lunch counter, they should have also appealed for the right to have someone else pay for the meal. No, I’m not making this up. He really did say that. See why his handlers are trying to discredit the messenger? See why he’s waving the big red flag up there? But it gets worse. Much worse. This is an American lawyer who doesn’t like the founding doctrine, our Constitution: “The Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of basic issues of political and economic justice in this society, and to that extent as radical as people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical,” Obama said . . . .

POPSThe Extreme Team Behind Amendment 48
This constitutional amendment is not about protecting life. Amendment 48 does nothing less than rob us of the ability to make many of life's most important decisions. The architects of the proposed amendment know this. The initiative's sponsor Kristi Burton asserts, "As far as birth control, IVF and abortion and all that, our amendment doesn't ban anything." But then she slyly admits, "That would be up to the legislature and courts. If our amendment passes and that's (a fertilized egg) considered a person you'd have to view those issues in that way." Ms. Burton knows full well that the only purpose to granting a fertilized egg full human rights is to target the right to birth control, IVF and stem cell research. If it were simply about targeting the right to an abortion, then Amendment 48 would have attempted to define life as starting at the moment a pregnancy begins and not before, as Amendment 48 does. The groups supporting Amendment 48, as listed on the Personhood Col

POPSObama Campaign Offended By McCain's Pejorative Pronouns
But Obama's not offended by William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn! "The Weathermen" as Dohrn's faction was now called, began a series of direct actions against the American government. As a result of an accidental explosion during the preparation of a bomb destined for a US military dance hall, which killed several members of the group, Dohrn and other Weathermen went underground. For half a decade, Dohrn and the Underground carried out clandestine actions, largely bombings, against the U.S. government. She is well-known as the signatory on the Weather Underground's "Declaration of a State of War," which formally declared war on the U.S. Government. Dohrn and others also co-wrote and published the subversive manifesto Prairie Fire, and participated in a covertly filmed propaganda documentary, Underground. Dohrn later married former Weather Underground leader Bill Ayers. http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery?s=Bernardine+Dohrn&go_button.x=33&go_button.y=7

POPS"That One" What? At a minimum McCain's reference to Obama as "that one" was dehumanizing if not racist. One of McCain's nastier traits is his capacity to objectify people. It's a characteristic of people with pathological anger problems.

POPSPolitics as Usual I am so glad that we can finally stop talking about issues that concern us all and start talking about personal character.

POPSPork-Laden Bailout Passes Haven't both Obama and McCain stated they will not agree to bills that contain pork, etc., or was I dreaming this? Probably was just dreaming it...

POPSACLU Helping Felons Vote: With Registration Deadline Fast Approaching Lewis is pushing for automatic restoration -- so that rights are restored upon completion of incarceration or supervision. ''There are tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of people in the state whose rights have been restored and they may not know it,'' Howard Simon, executive director of the Florida branch of the ACLU, said Monday. ''Everyone who can vote should vote,'' said Benjamin Burton, executive director of Miami Coalition for the Homeless and The League of Women Voters. The ACLU estimates that 115,000 people have had their voting rights restored but only 9,000 have registered. ''People leaving prison will be our neighbors,'' said Brad Brown, vice president of the Miami Dade chapter of the NAACP. ``The very first step to being integrated is that right to vote. That is the first step to being a good neighbor and forming strong communities.'

POPSMcCain on the Economy Continuing to provide evidence that he has no clue, McCain Says the fundamentals of the economy are strong AND the economy is in crises.

POPSMcCain's sex-ed lie "shameful; downright perverse" Ad falsely accuses Obama of advocating explicit sex education for kindergartners; the Illinois Senate bill referred to recommended teaching kids to recognize inappropriate touching, encouraged teachers not to go along with "stork"-type myths; it never even suggested "sex education" in the way the ad portrays. McCain lies again.

POPSMcCain/Palin: Just Repeat The Lie The Republican ticket obviously has no shame in its incessant repetition that Palin opposed the bridge to nowhere when in fact she was for it before it became too embarrassing to support it.

POPSVideo: Why Hasn't Obama Fired Howard Gutman? "So you are judging her parenting skills," Ingraham said. "You're saying you don't think she's a good parent for doing this job." "I'm saying the proper criticism is not that it's a woman or man – it doesn't matter whether it's Todd or Sarah," Gutman said. Gutman explicitly goes to great lengths to avoid offending women voters. He is obviously more afraid of vanquished opponent Hillary and her PUMAs than his own boss, Barack Obama: Obama should have fired Howard Gutman immediately for his insubordination, instead he has a spokesman issue a typically flaccid warning: Obama spokesman Bill Burton, asked to respond to Gutman's remarks, said "Obviously these comments do not reflect our frequently stated views that families of the candidates should be off limits." Gutman directly challenged the leadership of Obama and gets away scott free with an emailed apology to a reporter Obama fails yet another mind-boggling simple test of his authority.
