POPSMegabucks of tax money for Bush admin portraits Rumsfeld's was $46,790. Gutierrez, $35,000. $25K, former NASA admin; $29,500 for EPA head. And yes, Dems have done it, too. How many people's total annual tax payment did it take to pay for Don Rumsfeld's painting?

POPSBailout bill fails; Dow plunges
Here's the thing that really pisses me off... This bill was all set to still let these criminals get away with what they've done...With the Manning Memo and the Downing Memos out there this creep still escapes punishment, and war crimes.. Now the funny part is this this bailout fail or not -- these multi-millionaires get to take their - (no doubt) - overseas stash and live anywhere they want in the lap of luxury!!! bush and his family just bought around 100,000 ares in Paraguay (a non extradition country) is that a coincidence?? Hell no! He knows his admin started this war on false pretenses (false flag) and that they somehow blew up the world trade centers to get us into Iraq << yes Iraq not Afghanistan.. Why control, power and money! This is really why they hate the leaders of these countries including Cuba -- they can't get control! They are self sustaining with their oil reserves and they want to take that from them PERIOD! Bin Laden ha ha ha had us fooled that man had nothing t

POPSRice Admits Admin. Involved in Torture Discussions The piece goes on to quote Rachel Maddow: MSNBC's Rachel Maddow called the release of Rice's statement "a soul of the nation story," noting that torture violates the Geneva Conventions and is a criminal act under the US War Crimes Act of 1996. She emphasized that "we just can't get this issue behind us," even with the Bush administration on its way out of office, because "issues like this, like torture, still define who we are as a country. It's still unfinished business." Before some right wing dumbass comes along and says "this isn't torture," let me make two points. 1) you do it and see how you feel afterward, 2) that's not a decision that the administration gets to make. That's for courts to decide. Right now, it looks like a war crime. Mostly because it is.

POPSRon Suskind vs. Bush Admin on Iraq-9/11 Fakery
Suskind's book has provided documentation of evidence and inside witnesses within the CIA and British Intelligence sources that a fake letter was ordered "from the White House" pretending to be from Saddam's Intelligence Chief to Saddam (whom the U.S. relocated and paid $5 million to) which was laden with lies and a claim of ties between Mohammad Atta (supposed 9/11 ringleader), Al Qaeda, and Iraq--back-dated prior to 9/11--which provided deliberately false claims to connect Iraq to 9/11. The White House has denied (see previous clipmark) but award-winning journalist Suskind summarizes his sources and defends his allegations on Democracy Now (see first podcast "listen" link). The second podcast, Aug. 14, includes House Judiciary Chair John Conyers who has already started an investigation under way which will lead to some kind of action. Conyer's stated the the Senate Intelligence Committee, headed by Jay Rockefeller, has the power to review classified documents to verify this.

POPSRove in Contempt You've got to wonder what this could mean for McCain's campaign . The last thing Baghdad Johnny needs is a very public example of how he's joined at the hip to the Bush admin. through McCain adviser Rove -- especially in the context of how crooked they all are.

POPSFormer US Atty: Ashcroft Forced Out For the record, Iglesias is pushing a new book, " In Justice ." Still, this doesn't really seem all that wild an accussation, given the history of the Bush admin. and Iglesia's own story.

POPSWhite House Ignored Detainee Innocence As far as I can figure out, this is the Bush admin. worrying that it might be embarrassed by the ham-handedness of their wide net approach to collecting detainees. Instead of admitting that they may have gone a little overboard, they kept innocent people in prison. This creates a new class of political prisoner -- the inconvenient and unrectified mistake.

POPSYoutube Users and Viewers BEWARE!
Now every minute you Spend on youtube, you will be feeding the Big Brother machine the Bush admin. has robustly doctored until BB became a strong, very potent bouncing baby for the neocon belief system. Their rule-of-thumb on freedom is "We Will Tell Them They Are Free... FREE TO DO WHAT THEY ARE TOLD TO DO OR ELSE"! All their doings has been leading up to this day... The beginning of the end of Lincoln's eloquent words used during his Gettysburg Address that afternoon of Thurs., November 19, 1863 "government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth." In just over two minutes, Lincoln enforced the principles of human equality supported by the Declaration of Independence and redefined the Civil War as a struggle not merely for the Union, but as "a new birth of freedom" Hmmm, I wonder what President Lincoln would say about all the shredding of same Declaration by 8 years of Neocon Rule. I'm sure he would be deeply saddened, for sure.

POPSWhen the Penny Drops. A personal attack? Guess who? Oh, and god speaks to him! There's not many with that condition still free, are there?

POPSUS General Accuses Bush Admin of War Crimes 2-Star Army General indicts about Abu Ghraib that the White House "authorized" it: the Commander-in-Chief and those under him authorized a systematic regime of torture. Alot of things have come down on the Bush administration in the last month, i.e. McClellan's book, Bugliosi's book, now this.

POPSPowerful:Democracy Now Interview of McClellan--podcast Must-hear interview. The Bush administration cannot deny the claims from this insider. It is also interesting to hear the questions put to him by some good reporters in the run up to Iraq that the MSM decided not to let us hear! Hard evidence for wrong doing in the administration and he is about to testify before the Judiciary committee on the CIA leak of Plame, by Rove, Libby, and likely orchestrated by Cheney. Also how the White House Iraq Group used the NY Times as their primary propaganda conduit, including Judith Miller. Great podcast (have to listen to other news first before interview).

POPS111 Nations Ban Cluster Bombs; US Not Among Them The piece goes on: "The country that thinks of using cluster munitions next week should think twice, because it would look very bad," said Espen Barth Eide, Deputy Defense Minister of Norway, which began the negotiations last year and will host a treaty-signing ceremony Dec. 3. "We're certain that nations thinking of using cluster munitions won't want to face the international condemnation that will rain down upon them, because the weapons have been stigmatized now," said Steve Goose, arms control director of New York-based Human Rights Watch, who was involved in the talks. Maybe the next US admin. will be moved by this, but not Bush. Can't shame the shameless.

POPSCNN's Jessica Yellin admits what we already knew.... Corporate executive prevented her and others fr This is one of those things us "liberals" already knew. It's infuriating that for the last 8 years this has been going on, anyone with a brain could read the international news, compare it to our own, and see how censored and skewed our news reporting is. You'd have to be daft to not think that the mainstream media outlets were being either manipulated or actively playing the lap-dog to the administration. So to see this article today, I was at first happy this is finally making blips on the media radar and angered that we only dare confront it at the end of the presidency. This should have come to light at least 4 years ago. The amount of criminal behavior the media is complacent with in our admin is abhorable.
