POPSOhhh, those joooos.... Yet muslims serving in sensitive areas have not been subject to the same level of scrutiny. Could it be that the Pentagon is afraid of criticism from CAIR?

POPSBREAKING - Feds Indict Former CAIR Chief/Current Muslim Charity Exec as Saddam Spy U.S. Attorney Murphy Allows Charity to Remain Open, Main Financier to Walk Free By Debbie Schlussel The indictment says that Saddam Hussein's government gave Al-Hanooti two million barrels of oil in exchange for his work on behalf of the Iraqi intelligence service in America, one wonders how much of a cut of that his partner Alomari and his close buddy and champion, Imad Hamad, got. A good take, I'm sure. And I bet the feds know about this but are looking the other way. Mark my word. So, while it is mildly good news that Muthanna Al-Hanooti may face justice, that news is far too belated and far too little. When Mohammed Alomari is indicted, LIFE For Relief and Development is shut down and its assets frozen, and Imad Hamad--who worked for Al-Hanooti and LIFE to get USAID status and federal government protection through Senator Carl Levin--is also stopped cold, then I will be happy.

POPSDestroying Sculptures Of Muhammad February 29, 2008 Top: The courthouse of the Appellate Division, First Department of the New York State Supreme Court, at Madison Avenue and 25th Street, New York City, photographed before 1955 from the southwest. Note the presence of a statue at the far right (east) of the building Middle: The same courthouse, post-1955. Note the missing statue at the far right. Muhammad statue had been at the westerly end of the 25th Street side but the other statues on that side were moved one spot to the west in 1955, so that the empty plinth is now at the easterly end. Bottom: The New York Muhammad statue, described by the New York Times showing the prophet "of average height, but broad shouldered, with thick, powerful hands. Under his turban, his brows are prominent and frowning. A long, heavy beard flows over his robe. In his left hand, he holds a book, symbolizing the new religion he founded, and in his right, a scimitar, connoting the Moslem conquest."

POPS FISA Debate Heats Up Dodd, Hard-Left Push For Filibuster Currently, that deal is scheduled to sunset in early February. The Democrats’ strategy is transparent. They realize their position underscores how weak they are on national security and how beholden they are to the CAIR/ACLU/MoveOn.org Left, which is more animated by the “rights” of terrorists than the lives of Americans. If they can con the Bush administration into accepting the 18-month extension, that takes the issue off the table for the 2008 election. Not only would Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama be able to avoid being accountable for their party’s unpopular position. The ducking would further help one of them win the presidency, whereupon she or he could help Democrats sculpt a more terrorist-friendly FISA in 2009, when no one is up for re-election and public scrutiny ebbs. h/t Andy McCarthy

POPS The Battle Between Taquiya And Talk Radio
The odious Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that could be the legal arm of al-Qaeda. Although CAIR’s machinations usually go unmentioned by the mainstream media, for quite some time now it has been training its sights on anyone who would tackle the Islamic threat with manly strength. It has carried out campaigns against National Review magazine radio personality Paul Harvey, the producers of the television program 24 and many others who dare say the sultan has no clothes And now it is targeting award-winning radio talk show host Michael Savage Liberal democrats: “ unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect.” – Senator Richard Durbin “We know has ties to terrorism . . . intimate links with Hamas.” – Senator Chuck Schumer “Time and again has shown itself to be nothing more than an apologist for groups bent on the destruction of Israel and Islamic domination over the West.” – Congressman Bill

POPS CAIR Once Again Silent On Gillian Gibbons Imprisonment
In both cases, CAIR rose up to defend the offenders in question and engaged in their now standard grievance theater protest politics. When it comes to the November 1999 incident, any mention of CAIR’s involvement or defense of the Saudi students has been scrubbed from the organization’s website. It’s no wonder, as the 9/11 Commission Report (page 521, footnote 60) explains that the FBI now considers the incident as a “dry run” for the 9/11 hijackings There is a connection between these two incidents, as the leader of the six “Flying Imams” this past November is none other than Omar Shahin, the former imam of the Islamic Center of Tucson, where the two Saudi students from the November 1999 incident attended. Counterterrorism expert Rita Katz told the Washington Post in September 2002 that the mosque served as “basically the first cell of Al-Qaeda in the United States; that is where it all started” “Al Qaeda among Us”, provides greater detail about the connections

POPS DoJ:: Subsidizing Terror Sponsor INSA
Siraj Wahhaj, a board member for ISNA is a black convert to Islam. Both he and Siddiqi are slated to speak at this year’s convention. Wahhaj started a Wahabbi mosque in Brooklyn, New York, which hosted Sheik Abdul Rachman, otherwise known as the "blind sheik," who helped plot the 1993 WTC attack. Wahhaj is an unindicted co-conspirator for the 1993 World Trade Center attack, and indeed he testified on Rachman's behalf during his trial. Despite Wahhaj’s testimony, Rachman was convicted of terrorism charges and is currently in jail serving his sentence. Wahhaj is also on the board of CAIR. Both ISNA and CAIR signed a statement criticizing Bush for freezing the HLF assets arguing that it’s wrong for the Administration to prevent people from giving money to Palestinian orphans (in other words, funding suicide bombers). Both organizations also criticized the jailing of Sami Al-Arian, who is in jail having pled guilty to terrorist related charges regarding the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

POPSMuslim group touts local political clout It's interesting how many of these organizations are connected with radical Islam. CAIR went after Andrew Whitehead, the head of ANTI-CAIR, in a lawsuit, but the lawsuit was dropped because discovery documents would have exposed their financial and other ties to Hamas.
1
POPSDuck Stew Even though CAIR failed so miserably in their suit against Andrew Whitehead the Anti-CAIR guy because of what would have come about about CAIR's support of HAMAS during discovery, they DO succeed in intimidating FOX and others thereby advancing their agenda. So they'll continue threatening these lawsuits...

POPSCAIR and Hamas connections I'm not sure if I caught it here, but at LGF you can click on the graph to get a live version where you can drag the nodes around and manipulate it to see the links.
