POPSClinton to Head State Dept.? Politico describes this as a "secret meeting," but it's got to be one of the worst-kept secrets ever. The tone of the piece is rumor, but the fact that there's a specific cabinet post being talked about suggests there's probably something more. Previous reports had Sec. of State as a contest between John Kerry and Bill Richardson. I liked Richardson for the post, but I would've been happy with either. To tell the truth, at this point in time, I've got nothing against HRC taking it either.

POPSMcCain Campaign Forces Job Walkout Also from the source: "We were asked to read something saying were against protecting children from danger," this worker said. "I wouldn't do it. A lot of people left. They thought it was disgusting." This worker, too, confirmed sacrificing pay to walk out, saying her supervisor told her: "If you don't wanna phone it you can just go home for the day." The script coincided with this robo-slime call running in other states, but because robocalling is illegal in Indiana it was being read by call center workers. Representatives at Americall in Indiana, and at the company's corporate headquarters in Naperville, Illinois, didn't return calls for comment.

POPS11 Days Away: McCain Campaign Collapsing
Obama is still going around busting his butt to tell everybody to bust their butt harder than they've ever worked before. Smart guy. With early voting now going on in some states he and Hilary and Biden and specifically telling folks at his massive rallies: "Leave here, go to your election centers, Vote Right Now!" But it couldn't look much worse for McCain. Besides the facts and figures of his falling popularity and growing lead: lead in the national pols growing, lead in the critical 'battleground states,' growing -- besides these numbers you can see the Defeat in his face and in the faces of those who talk for him. You can hear more excuses coming out of his campaign headquarters about why it was so hard for them and they are not doing well (excuses that are as pathetic as their campaign). We hear more Republicans actually switching sides and giving Obama endorsements. (like Colin Powell.) Stunned negative media is shutting up. The idea of Obama as president sinki

POPSBarack Obama Bunny Ears - Campain Headquarters Stop I love these candid shots of Obama's surprise visit to Kansas City campaign headquarters. Especially the bunny ears. Gotta love a man with a fun sense of humor. Unlike George W. Bush's creepy sense of humor where he grabs world leaders from behind saying he's giving them a massage. Bet those campaign workers are glad they showed up to work that day.

POPSAngry Pakistani tribesmen attack Taliban after bombing Militants have unleashed a new wave of violence in Pakistan in recent months after the military launched major offensives against them in the rugged northwest including Bajaur and Swat regions. The mounting militant threat prompted the government to convene a closed joint session of the two-chambered parliament for a briefing by intelligence officials on internal security. The parliamentarians are due to begin debate on the situation after Pakistan's newly appointed intelligence chief briefed them this week on the militant threat. The growing violence comes amidst a stepped-up campaign by the United States against militant targets inside Pakistan

POPSCBS News Reporter Criticizes Obama Campaign Amazing! This guy probably will lose his job for criticizing Obama's lack of organization and elitism. After all, CBS is part of the Obama propaganda arm. Why does Obama's aircraft smell bad? Chitlns? Naw - the elite don't eat what the common folk eat. Think about it. Someone who hangs around with shady characters and doesn't notice filth, probably wouldn't know if something has a bad odor. I'll tell you this - Obama and Biden have a bad odor, and I hope America wakes up and notices that stench before they cast their votes.

POPSACORN Fraud: False Voter Registration in Nevada ACORN, often accused of voter-registration fraud, is under investigation in Nevada for turning in fake voter registration forms. ACORN has come under scrutiny lately for receiving funds from the Obama campaign. It also made news when Democrats in Congress attempted to funnel future bailout profits into the ACORN slush fund.

POPSFBI raids ACORN ACORN has been accused of massive voter registration fraud in various states. Now they have been raided by the FBI. Barack Obama has ties to ACORN.

POPSInvestigator detained by Kenya after learning Obama muslim ties Does anyone know Obama has visited Pakistan, just before being mysteriously flooded with cash for attending expensive universities and purchasing a multi million dollar home? His two college roomates were Pakistani, who are now in charge of raising offshore campaign contributions for him? Michelle Obama's personal advisor is an Iranian. And Rezko arranged for Obama's first job as a lawyer - where is Rezko from? Syria. Beware this Trojan Horse.

POPSMonster Rally Greets Palin After Debate! Joe Biden says Obama is being misrepresented with his comments on Ahmadinejad. Lie. Biden says Ahmadinejad is not the leader of Iran. He's right. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said today that he does not agree with Barack Obama that the President of the United States should meet with Iranian leaders without preconditions. Dr. Kissinger's video: "No, I do not agree with Barack Obama's position" http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2008/09/henry-kissinger-responds-i-do-not-agree.html

POPSDespite Vow, McCain Didn't Go Back to DC After Debate It's telling that it wasn't until McCain was absent that lawmakers were able to reach a deal . Expect McCain to take credit for it anyway. On a related subject, check out Frank Rich's column, " McCain’s Suspension Bridge to Nowhere ."

POPS"The Next Tip Is To Be Absolutely Ruthless,"Says Director of Camp Obama "Listening, listening, listening. Listening is the No. 1 tool," she says. They hold a mock Iowa caucus in which campers learn to try to lure other candidates' supporters to Obama during re-alignment periods. Building alliances Just about all the candidates' campaigns do some version of this volunteer training but others don't have the candidates' own backgrounds to draw on in mapping out the training regimen. Alinsky had been dead for a decade when Obama came to organize in Chicago in the '80s, but his disciples were here ready to train him as Woodards is ready to train the volunteers.

POPSStorms destroy 113 offshore oil rigs; slicks visible from space Hurricanes Katrina and Rita completely destroyed 113 oil rigs; Leading Repubs insist spills are not "significant." I wonder how many dozens of square miles of space-visible waterfowl-drowning oil muck it takes for an oil spill to become "significant" to Republican leaders.

POPSMcCain Campaign to Resemble Bush's More info on the news that McCain's going full-bore Bush III . Writes WaPo's Chris Cillizza : Watch for a series of other moves -- including the hiring of a political director and field director -- to take place in short order. Schmidt realizes that time is running down on McCain and a new direction needs to be set immediately or the campaign runs the risk of falling hopelessly behind. In other words, Team McCain is in trouble.

POPSMcCain wants to end oil exploration ban Now here's the first thing this candidate has said that makes sense. And if you liked the long lines at the gas pump and raging prices of the Carter administration, you'll just love having that Marxist Obama as president.

POPSKeep the anti-war pressure on Obama I think it's important, then, that people who want Obama to win, especially the young people, go inside the Obama campaign offices, the Obama campaign headquarters, and say, "Hey, we are going to raise this issue. Don't leave us out in the cold. If you do become the president elect, we are going to keep raising the issue of how jeopardized we are because of this addiction to war."

POPSAmerican Memories. B&W pics During the height of the movement, from 1967 to 1973, photographer Stephen Shames had unprecedented access to the organization and captured not only its public face—street demonstrations, protests, and militant posturing—but also unscripted behind-the-scenes moments, from private meetings held in the Party headquarters, to Bobby Seale at work on his mayoral campaign in Oakland. The Black Panthers (Aperture, October 2006) brings together for the first time a remarkable collection of never-before-published images from Shames’s archive. This illuminating volume reveals how Shames’s insider status enabled him to create an uncommonly nuanced portrait of this dynamic social movement, during one of the most tumultuous periods in U.S. history. Released on the occasion of the Party’s fortieth anniversary, The Black Panthers collectively conveys an electrifying visual history of one of America’s most important social movements.

POPS'Red Flag' Obama's Blogger Flies Commie Banner Graham-Felsen, according to a 2003 article in the Harvard Crimson, adorned one corner of his shared student apartment with "a Communist Party flag ... bought on their trip to Russia the summer after sophomore year." The revelation echoes an earlier public relations problem in February when a Houston Fox TV affiliate captured images of a volunteer in an Obama campaign office working in front of a flag featuring the image of Che Guevara, the South American revolutionary who became Fidel Castro's executioner after the communist takeover in Cuba. At that time, the Obama campaign issued a statement calling the flag "inappropriate" and noting that the office where it was displayed was funded by "volunteers" and was not the official campaign headquarters.

POPSJohn McCain, Dirty Old Man? There is already some indication that John enjoys a good lobbyist on occasion: http://delawarewatch.blogspot.com/2008/03/is-john-mcintegrity-open-to-highest.html Well, I suppose, the good news is he apparently has no circulation problems.
