Employee Free Choice Act
thinkingblue
by thinkingblue  Today 8:00 AM
We The People, may finally have a voice now that Barack Obama is our President. Hope is overflowing for the downtrodden American worker who saw labor hour increases while compensation decreased due to the many monitory escalations of Energy, Food, Shelter, Healthcare and Clothing. Disparity was the rule. This Employee Free Choice Act must be passed so that the American worker can start climbing out of the quagmire, too many years of Corporate rule put us in. zasel
by zasel  8-24-2007    2
The Republicans just can't help themselves. They continue to use racist tactics in order to try to win favour with their party base during campaigns. Now certain candidates for the Republican presidential nomination or blaming "illegal immigrants" which translates into Hispanics, for the alleged rise in crime in some of the cities around the country. Of course, they just happen to choose to ignore the fact that crime rates are actually coming down, because that would be somewhat inconvenient to their point. Will the country finally realize the hatefulness of these tactics and see them for what they are, or will the subtlety escape them, and allow the fearmongering to grab their vote. Remember Willie Horton in the 1988 presidential election. Many believe it is what cost Michael Dukakis the presidency.

Mitt Tries to Glad Hand Iraq Vet
zasel
by zasel  8-11-2007
Mitt Romney was approached by an Iraq vet who proceeded to respectfully ask the presidential candidate some questions about the Iraq war. Romney offered him some stock talking points, but when asked a specific questions, turned his back and walked away. The vet felt highly insulted. Once again, Mitt is showing himself to be the rich boy, out to buy the presidency of the United States with his money, and to fuck with the people including the vets fighting the war he supports.
