POPS"We ate (human) flesh to survive" continues: Famished and dehydrated They tried to sustain themselves on rain and seawater as they bobbed for days on the open waters, far off their original course. Famished and dehydrated, the survivors watched migrant after migrant die, each time dutifully waiting 15 to 20 minutes before throwing the body overboard. Eating those who perished was not an idea that came easily, the recuperating fisherman said. "But imagine, 15 days without food, without water. I'm a sailor, a fisherman — they were all yelling at me to do something," he said. "I always try to be prepared, so I had brought my knife along," he said. "We hadn't brought food because it was supposed to be a quick trip. We had nothing to eat. We had to eat him, to save our own lives." Maria Marizan and other migrants from the Dominican Republic know just how dangerous it can be to make the 160-mile journey across the Mona Passage to the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico.

POPSStrange Rites From an outside perspective, this truly is a bizarre ritual that is reminiscent of old B-movies of virgins being thrown into volcanoes to appease the gods. I would bet that most believers don't share this viewpoint.

POPSKorowai Tribe - The Real Life Cannibals Their numbers are very roughly estimated at about 3,000. Only a few of them have become literate thus far. They are one of the few surviving tribes in the world that are thought to possibly still engage in cannibalism.

POPSGiagantic Canibalistic Mongolian Trout! The best news is that conservation efforts now center on catch-and-release fly fishing! The Chinese utter lack of comprehension when it comes to conservation means I still haven't been able to find any good fishing around Beijing, but Mongolia, that ain't so far away! So that settles it, I'm headed to Mongolia! But first I have to learn to tie a fly that looks like a dead marmot... (Any tips?)

POPSNarratives from Leningrad´s survivors This is just one story from http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/cannibal... There are many links there. It´s really interesting as the stories happened in WW II.

POPSReal Catholics Site Although the blue eyed European Jesus might attract a certain segment of the population, the creepy ritual cannibalism certainly is not a strong selling point to me.

POPSSuperstitious Folly in the 21st Century How can people today fall for ridiculous claims such as this? But then again, we look with reverence at symbolic cannibalism embodied in the Christian communion. Not too much of a difference.

POPSExperienced spiders pick smaller mates They tested the theory with stuffed spiders, to prove they chose on looks alone. They repeated the experiment with live spiders. The spiders that are are stuffed are easybeats, but they taste awful. ( I don't know if a male mating with a stuffed spider would notice, until he tried to eat it)

POPSGay Ol' Animal Kingdom While I don't agree with most of the article, I found this bit amusing. But the author's thoughts seem to be: Humans have too many morals and too great of intelligence to be homosexual. I find that to be bullshit. I'm not any better or worse because I prefer blondes to brunettes. Same difference.
