POPS Cops block traffic to stop erasable chalking event This is the law, been on the books for a while. It doesn't say "chalk" anywhere. They've gone and used it to make sidewalk chalk a crime. Oh, excuse me.... an infraction. MC 9.20.010 UNAUTHORIZED - AUTHORITY. No person shall paint, write or otherwise place or affix upon any public curb or sidewalk in the city, any advertisements of any kind or character whatsoever, or any signs, marks, or paint, other than official traffic signs, marks or paint placed thereon in accordance with law, except as hereinafter provided. POPSParents urged to beware of predators I wonder what would happen if one of these slavers or rock spiders were caught by a group of parents. Probably claim he had the same rights to protection as.........kids.

POPSDo Your Homework People I don't get this one either. If you're with a mortgage broker and they're offering you a rate of 7.5% on an ARM, why would you just accept it and not reach out to other banks or brokers for better offers? If you went to a car dealership looking for a car and they offered it to you for more than MSRP, would you just say "ok, I guess I have to pay it?" Or would you say "thanks for the offer, I'm going to shop around and see if I can find a better one?" If you'd just take the offer you didn't like, I'm sure there's plenty of salespeople out there who'd love to meet you.

POPSRepairPal: Yes, your mechanic is ripping you off To drive home his point, Sturtz told me about a study the company did when it was forming: 50 calls were made to shops asking for a price quote on a given repair. Then, a short time later, the calls were made again to the same shops, but this time with women making the queries instead of men. The average price difference was 17 percent higher when women called.

POPSNavigation by pictures on Google's Android BreadCrumbz' unique approach to navigation enables a new kind of user-created geo-content. Our aim is to develop a platform and a community where people create, store and share geo-content that is meaningful to them with their friends ("find my house", "where I left my car at the airport") or with the world ("best mountainbiking route in the area", "find my cool shop", "to your hospital's department of surgery", etc.).

POPSPalermo businesses defy the Mafia
The more money a business makes, the more money the Godfathers expect. Those who don't pay up are quickly paid a visit. It starts with a friendly chat to explain the rules, followed by a nudge such as a brick through the window. If that fails to make the point, a home, business or car might be firebombed. Small shops are expected to hand over around £100 a month: for supermarkets and jewellers, the going rate is nearer £1,000. But shoppers and businesses are rebelling, with those refusing to pay adding their names online at the Addiopizzo website. As of yesterday, 241 firms and individuals were listed. Now Mr Messina has decided to bring them together by stocking their items in Supermercato Punto Antipizzo. "I felt the time had come to give those businesses that had refused to pay the pizzo an extra economic opportunity. "All the products in the store are supplied by firms who have refused to pay pizzo — we are talking . . .the sort of items you find in a normal super
