POPSTurkey to Get Nuke Power. U.S. loses.
As I understand U.S. policy we now claim that Turkey wants to make nuke weapons, may have them in five years, so we should attack them. Despite Israel being the only ME nation with nuke weapons,-- we also continue to 'not talk,' about that. On the big global Master Plans of world powers this looks like another blow to the Cheney-Bush wet dream of stealing Caspian Sea oil. We have (deservedly) lost in the efforts to steal Caspian Sea oil. This Russian-Turkey deal makes that emphatic. Despite all the spin we @#$@#$ out everyday, people see the facts of our foreign invasions, greed and lies. We better get back to 'our own backyard,' and our own nation's real needs. Stop wasting our soldier's lives and big bucks all for the sake of foreign Oil and Israel. We can't even control our own border. And our "Drug Wars," false excuses turning our own country into a prison and Mexico into a nightmare and South America into an enemy. Defeat Republicans. Vote for change.

POPSOIL: The Real Purpose for the Afghanistan War and Af-Pak Policy It's not about "terrorism" but an oil pipeline from the Caspian region to Pakistan, thru Afghanistan. The proof is that the invasion was planned before Sept. 11th! This fact should be sufficient to establish Motive, should it not? Now you know why the Taliban and bin Laden got fingered for 9/11, instead of Saudi hijackers, etc. "It's not going to be built until there is a single Afghan government. That's the simple answer." Bush began war in the region in Oct. 2001. May 2002 the BBC reported the immediate result The leaders of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkmenistan have agreed to construct a $2bn pipeline to bring gas from Central Asia to the sub-continent . POPSRussia Charges US Is Rearming Georgia This is abut the USA, Israel and the West trying to get oil and gas from the Caspian Sea. Georgia is critical for the pipeline. Amazingly, the Georgian Defense Minister is an Israeli (!) and an Israeli general is a prime advisor to their Georgian Army and was involved in starting last year's war. U.S. troops also there, on the ground; and NATO as well, even though Georgia is not in NATO but the West is trying to get it in. This headline is made at the same time, the same day, that Russian nuke subs are reported off the East Coast of the USA, the Cold War quickly being microwaved reheated. I think we should BUY and oil and natural gas we need and invest and develop more alternative energy and our own oil reserves if we have to. I hope we don't have to listen to any more propaganda about fighting for "peace and democracy," or twist it around to make it sound like Russia is the aggressor (on it's own border, while we're 12,000 miles from home) It's another war for B

POPSRussian nuke subs off USA East Coast It seems the USA's non-stop lifetime of foreign wars and aggression is getting some push back. With impunity the USA sails nuke subs and aircraft carriers on the coast of Iran and Iraq...did the same in Vietnam....then blames the natives when they get "restless." We're also building a missile base in Poland, on the Russian border. We got troops and funding for the Republic of Georgia...we're trying to get to the world's largest reserve of gas and oil, in the Caspian Sea. If you go into a bear's cave, imo, and start poking around, we shouldn't be surprise if the beast becomes upset. I think this...along with the renewed air flights of nuke weapons bombers near the USA...and Russian making alliances in South America...shows a new Cold War has started: Cold War Two. Or Cold War Reheated. Or we're on 'pre-heat," for the baking up of new tensions. I'd suggest we BUY any oil and gas we might need and give up trying to steal it...and make progress with alternative energi

POPS Assassination Plot In Tehran Mr. Putin, in the first visit by a Russian leader to Iran since Josef Stalin met with President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill in Tehran in 1943, has cast himself as the go-between, siding with America until now in an effort to bring Iran into line with the demands of the U.N. Security Council. In his final months as president, Mr. Putin is seeking to pull off a diplomatic coup in Tehran that would settle the Caspian dispute in Iran's favor in exchange for Iran being more open to the world about its nuclear plants. Mr. Putin appears to be hoping that a pacified Iran might allow NATO to postpone or even abandon its plan to site missile shield technology in European states bordering Russia, ostensibly to intercept an Iranian missile attack on Europe, an issue that has angered him. Iran is relying on the Russian leader, in concert with the Chinese communist leadership, to prevent the adoption of sterner American proposals.

POPSWar with Iran: Choke Point/The Strait of Hormuz A choke point is a narrowing of an international waterway to a distance of less than 24 miles (38 km), necessitating the drawing of a median line (maritime) boundary. These are almost always strategic locations where, presumably, a blockading naval force could "choke" off the waterway. Examples are the Hormuz Strait between Oman and Iran at the entrance to the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Malacca between Malaysia and Indonesia, the Bab-el-Mandeb passage from the Arabian Sea to the Red Sea, the Panama Canal and the Panama Pipeline connecting the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, the Suez Canal and the Sumed Pipeline connecting the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea, and the Turkish Straits/Bosporus linking the Black Sea (and oil coming from the Caspian Sea region) to the Mediterranean Sea.
