POPSGeorge Calin's Forbidden Words to Be Judged Again by Supremes An outburst from pain, disgust, or politically protected free speech, will be judged once again in the Supreme Court. FCC wants to protect viewers or listeners from a single use of an F word or an S word. And they are not even sure they will allow the use of the words in talking about them. Our Bush League President appointed the Chief Supreme but might be censored by him?

POPSMcCain Claims Obama Dishonorable & Dangerous This site has been put up by the Obama campaign: http://www.keatingeconomics.com/ This site, above, tells the truth and gives facts about the last banking scandal -- in which John McCain was involved. The guy at the center of the scandal went to jail. McCain got officially censored by the Senate. It's the Republicans who have PROVED themselves dishonorable and dangerous -- who led us into the black stupid hole of Iraq War -- who destroyed our economy. We can't let these warmongers and liars continue to rule our country. We need to Defeat Republicans! Now. Later start the war crime trials and trials for shredding the Constitution and deliberately leading a nation into war based on lies, torture against the Geneva convention, etc. These vampires and blood suckers will not die till we drive a firm stake into their hearts. Every word out of their mouths is false and dangerous. Vote Obama.

POPSHiring Friends And Lashing Foes
"The new mayor also tended carefully to her evangelical base. She appointed a pastor to the town planning board. And she began to eye the library. For years, social conservatives had pressed the library director to remove books they considered immoral. “People would bring books back censored,” recalled former Mayor John Stein, Ms. Palin’s predecessor. “Pages would get marked up or torn out.” But in 1995, Ms. Palin, then a city councilwoman, told colleagues that she had noticed the book “Daddy’s Roommate” on the shelves and that it did not belong there, according to Ms. Chase and Mr. Stein. Ms. Chase read the book, which helps children understand homosexuality, and said it was inoffensive; she suggested that Ms. Palin read it. “Sarah said she didn’t need to read that stuff,” Ms. Chase said. “It was disturbing that someone would be willing to remove a book from the library and she didn’t even read it.” “I’m still proud of Sarah,” she added, “but she scares the bejeebers out of me

POPSChristian, Remember This Is What It Is All About Where are the Christians on free speech? Journalists are being raided at the Republican National Convention and they continue to support the party that encourages such behavior. Don't they see the connection? Are they going to wait until they are personally affronted? It will be far to late if it isn't too late already. What they need to do is start speaking out, buy a video camera to record incidents like this, and let others know. The Republican Neocons are monitoring your response and when they see you pull the covers over your head, they will attack us all. Newsweek Mar 2007 reported that 80% of Americans claim to be Christian. If this is so, where is the light, where is truth, where is hope in any degree compared to what your Lord brought? If you said you follow the god of darkness I would believe you.

POPSHands Off Mohammed!!! Fear seems to have censored the publishing of a book about Mohammed. As the author of the piece points out: "It is condescending to treat Muslims like excitable children who cannot cope with the probing, mocking treatment we hand out to Christianity, Judaism and Buddhism. It is perfectly consistent to protect Muslims from bigotry while challenging the bigotries and absurdities within their holy texts." Doesn't seem like too much to ask.

POPSThe 9/11 Solution - RESTORED We find most of the videos we post to Brasscheck TV, but occasionally we find the time to make one. This video has an interesting history. Google took it down after three days and over 17,000 views. YouTube blocked us from posting it altogether. Someone copied it while it was up on Google and posted it to YouTube Canada where it became the most discussed video of all time in the "News and Politics" category with over 500,000 views. But now it seems to have been entirely scrubbed from YouTube Canada. Anyhow, somehow we have it back up on Google Video. Watch it while you can. Somebody really doesn't like this one

POPS The Left vs Free Speech The truly outrageous aspect of such comparisons is that the American left, with its Stalin-redux willingness to rearrange history, neglects to mention that, outside of Japan, all of the 20th century's great totalitarian regimes had roots on the political left. It wasn't just Lenin and Stalin whose propaganda machine prefigured MoveOn. Nazi is an acronym for "National Socialist." Read Mein Kampf. It isn't a tribute to free-market capitalism, folks. Mussolini was a populist. Mao was a leftist, as was Pol Pot. The last century's worst censors and book burners all emerged from leftist ideologies. As this column recently pointed out, Support Our Troops, Bring Them Home! disappeared from the political scene the instant Obama called for sending those troops to Afghanistan and Pakistan, instead of back to Fort Hood. For the hardcore left, the party line always trumps conscience. MoveOn isn't new - it's just Pravda with poor punctuation.

POPSThe Secrecy of the Feds Cyber Security Program Homeland Security is Homeland Secrecy, for this anti-constitutional agency that is. You are not permitted any privacy about you under this new government. CNet tried to find facts about this internet security program but was thwarted. The more secret a government is the less it is a government by and for the people.
