POPSThe Fall of Great Cities: America's Fastest-Dying Cities
The former manufacturing backbone of the U.S. is in rougher shape than ever, still searching for some way to replace its long-stilled smokestacks. Where's it worst? Ohio has 4 of the 10 cities and Michigan has 2 cities making the ranking. So far this decade, 115,000 people have left Cleveland. Smaller changes in other regions can be just as painful: People are leaving in the thousands and they are not being replaced by either new babies or new immigrants. These cities face fleeing populations, painful waves of unemployment and barely growing economies... And they face even bleaker futures. Once great centers of business and industry, these cities now are shells of their former selves. They will have to re-shape their image & think outside of the box in order to try to attract future residents and businesses. The top 5 fastest dying American cities: 1. Canton, Ohio 2. Youngstown, Ohio 3. Flint, Mich. 4. Scranton, Pa. 5. Dayton, Ohio

POPS Romney Campaigns Throughout The Night The former Massachusetts governor, who tries to keep his body clock on East Coast time wherever he travels in the country, planned to sleep on the return flight, aided by a pillow, pink fleece blanket and inflatable mattress his campaign staff brought aboard in Oklahoma. His entourage, including his brother, Scott, and longtime friend, Bob White, spread out through the rest of the plane, one person on each side of the aisle across the 26 rows of seats. All were given blankets and pillows, along with a takeout dinner from the Outback steakhouse. "I mean, it's an honor, obviously, it's an enormous honor to even be considered as a candidate for president and to know that there will be hundreds of thousands and hopefully millions who will say, `You're the guy we'd like as our next president.' It's a very humbling honor," he added.

POPSDon Blankenship - The Devil??? RecordSage made a comment earlier in one of his posts about being overwhelmed by the Democratic party with telephone calls, etc. In WV in the past few years, this person (I think) has literally tried to buy our state and he has had quite a few successes. He put out an state supreme judge with an ad-smearing campaign called "For the Kids". even though it had ABSOLUTELY no merit, (I read the whole case online) he still succeeded in putting Brent Benjamin on the WV supreme court ( to be bi-paritison and fair of course). I have personally been attacked for lack of a better word with pre-recorded telephone calls to my home attacking Rep. Mollohan. Our televison stations and newspapers have daily ads. There are flyers sent to our home. Our state has been "raped" by mountaintop removal. I sincerely hope Mr. Blankenship learns that WV is not for sale this election, but we will see.
