POPSSC Lowcountry Gas Prices Continue to Decline Is there another factor at work here? Gasoline sellers do seem to take their time when lowering the price of gas. Wholesalers charge retailers the maximum amount possible, because they do want to make money. This in turn makes the gasoline sellers want to keep prices as high as they can for as long as they can, to make a dollar or to recover costs. So it appears that they don’t lower their prices until inventories build up and they have to move product.

POPSSBOA Firm has Co-Op experience The firm working on the SBOA project has experience woking with cooperative development, apparently. Just perusing their website I have noticed that they list several "citizen/ cooperative groups" from their past work. This gives me hope that an attempt to talk to them about a community participatory development project in the SBOA, resulting in extensive urban green space, cooperative housing, integrated with ecodesign, living machines, food production, and historical preservation— might not be fruitless.

POPSWorld's Strongest Man Competition Going on now in Charleston, West Virginia. These guys pull Mack trucks by themselves! Phil Pfister of West Virginia won this world competition in 2006. (They grow them big here). About a week or two ago Pfister pulled a jet at Yeagar Airport! Strongman Phil Pfister faced off with a 155,000-pound purple and orange FedEx plane to help raise money for Charleston's Ronald McDonald House. He became the first person to successfully pull a plane alone during this type of charity event. The Charleston native, who won the Met-Rx World's Strongest Man in 2006, moved the plane steadily down the runway for 15 feet using his own strength, to the delight of spectators and fellow participants.
