Wacko laws aren't new, there are probably endless piles of them still on the books somewhere in this land of ours. But please give me a break...! Acting upon them even though common sense is blatantly smacking you in the face is not only beyond the pale, it takes mindlessness to another plane. Move over Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin et al... In Michigan there are regulators who oversee child care, that make you guys look like amateurs in the screwy sphere of absurdity.

I first learned about this story 2 days ago (h/t Kate), but it's taken me this long to write about it because I have been too busy pondering my own good fortune in having a smooth childbirth without unnecessary interference from pushy doctors or child welfare officials. And I've been giving my 2 year old daughter lots of extra cuddles. I'm also sending a donation to the National Advocates for Pregnant Women, and I encourage you to do the same. This doctor's orders: Count your blessings, cuddle your children, and help those less fortunate around you.

POPSWaiting For the Right Time to Buy I really like the quote: “A house is built of walls and beams - a HOME is built on love and dreams”. I clipped this because the quote applies to anything...not just buying a house. If you wait for the "right time" to do something you might miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime. When really is the "right time" to buy a house in a world full of uncertainty? When is the right time to have a child, adopt a pet, go on "that" trip? Sometimes you have to just do what your heart says is the "right thing" instead of letting others dictate what the "right time" is. Arm yourself with good infomation - be practical in your decisions, but remember - life is not a trial run - the right time colud be right now.

These kids were old enough to know better, any sane person can't place the blame on video games. the could have gotten the idea form any visual media. Movies, TV, etc. There was alchahol involved. If thye had have been watching a Van-Damm mvowie before hand the same outcome would ahve likely been reached. Stupid people make me mad. They just gave the anti-video game camp a hand of ACES in the media... Here's an idea.. take resposibility for your own fucking actions.. What about the parents here.. obviously these "kids" should not have been left in cahrge of a 7 year old...
