POPSChutzpah, With a Capital "CH" Can you believe the audacity of McCain? First he manipulates Obama into taking his trip to Iraq and Afghanistan, which also resulted in a successful European tour. When that worked out too well for Obama, McCain declared that his opponent was being presumptuous, and acting as if was already president of the United States. Now that Russia has stormed into Georgia, McCain decides to send Lieberman and Graham to Tblisi to try to work something out. On what authority will the traitor Lieberman, and Howdy Doody Graham discuss anything of substance, with any officials in Georgia? On top of which, Condie Rice, Madam Secretary herself, is on her way to Georgia to assess the situation. She, at the very least, speaks for the president. For whom do these two McCain puppets speak?

POPSWhite House accuses Senate Democrats of slacking off Given the role the White House and Senate Republicans have played in slowing legislation, Manley said, “it takes a lot of chutzpah” for Fratto to accuse the Democrats of inaction. It's more than chutzpah...it's insanity and lies--both are so cosmically incompetent and the posturing is disgusting!

POPSDept. of You Can't Make this $%&! Up! Presents: Karl Rove I mean really, of all the people to say something like this, Karl Rove? And please spare me the "Armitage said it first!" bull. Just because somebody commits a crime does not open the way for others. Armitage cooperated with investigators, Rove and Libby obstructed justice.

POPSIt's All About Obama Americans overwhelmingly find it a hopeful, optimistic sign that the country could elect an African-American president. But they rightly want to know what kind of leader he might be. They may well reject as cynical any maneuver to discourage close examination of him by suggesting any criticism is racially motivated. The candidate's self-centeredness has been on display before. Having effectively sewed up the Democratic nomination, he could have agreed to seat the Florida and Michigan delegations (states Hillary Clinton had carried). While reducing his lead by 50 to 55 delegates, it would not have altered the outcome. But Mr. Obama supported cutting these battleground-state delegations in half. At a time when magnanimity was called for, the candidate decided he'd strut. In a contest over who is willing to put principle above personal ambition and self-interest, John McCain, a war hero and a former POW, wins hands down.

POPSOil Crisis Triggers Secret Plans For Acquisition Of World's Seabeds "If the British do not change their approach, we shall have to interpret it as aggression," said President Nestor Kirchner. The forgotten relics of the Empire make Britain a player in the marine race. There are the waters off the Falkland Islands and South Georgia, already home to a clutch of oil exploration companies; the Pitcairn Islands in the Pacific; Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean; and a string of outposts such as Montserrat, the Caymans, the British Virgin Islands, the Turks and Caicos, and Bermuda. The two-page summary of Britain's submission to the UN gives little away. It merely notes that the UK is providing information on the limits of shelf "beyond 200 nautical miles", adding that there will be further requests.

POPSPalestine/Israel: Water and international law - Things could get worse The United Nations' General Assembly reaffirmed in several resolutions that the Geneva Convention (IV) relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War (1949) is applicable to the Palestinian and other Arab territories occupied by Israel since 1967, including Jerusalem, and again and again condemned Israel's policies and practices against the population in the occupied territories. Very startling, the chutzpah with which Israel withstands the imminence of being classified as a rogue state.

POPSAl Gore Endorses Gay Marriage Al Gore, who has favoured "civil unions" since 2000, has now come out in support of full same-sex marriage. Now, if only our Democratic presidential candidates would show the same chutzpah and come out in support of ending this needless and vile discrimination against this group of tax paying and loyal Americans. Don't they remember "All men (and women) are created equal? Seems very simple to me.

POPS Vladimir Putin '08 For Democratic U.S.President Iowa Activist: I want the strongest candidate on the Democratic ticket in 2008 and Putin is it. I wish any of our Democrats could be half the man he is in dealing with the right-wing media. Most experts agree that if Putin were to run on the Democratic platform, he could easily beat other candidates at their own game by promising the American people a smorgasbord of entitlements. "The values are the same, and so is the shared vision of massive government expansion to save the children from the dangers of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," continues General Yezhov. "And when the product is the same, salesmanship and experience take the priority. That's all what's left for your political observers to talk about - experience. And who's got more experience in expanding the power of the government than Putin? Who I ask?"

POPSGolden Falsie Award--Right Cup In early December, when U.S. intelligence agencies reported that Iran had stopped its nuclear weapons program more than four years ago, Freedom's Watch ignored the news for several days. Finally, one of their blog posts approvingly pointed to an editorial which, in their words, argued that the intelligence report showed "we must continue to pressure Iran on their weapons program." That's right -- the weapons program that doesn't exist. Why let reality get in the way of well-funded war mongering? With that chutzpah, FreedomWatch truly deserves the most false of Falsies!

POPSWorld surfing champion detained in Israel. He pushed a photographer and a 'brawl' broke out.The Model Bar Rafaeli said she said she wouldn't bring anyone famous, to Israel, because of the 'chutzpah' 'Chutzpah' is Yiddish for 'Media photographer.' The term also has political applications

POPSAir Conditioned Sacrafice Mitt Romney had better enjoy his big lead in Iowa quickly, as it looks as if he is going to fall flat on his face very soon. He is coming off as the stereotypical rich boy who molds himself into whatever shape is necessary in order to attain his goals. When he ran governor of Massachusetts and Senator of the same state, he was a raging, pro-abortion, gay friendly liberal. Now that he wants to be president, he is renouncing all of his former, heartfelt views and claims to be pro-life (anti-abortion) gay unfriendly etc because he needs those conservative right-wing religious wing-nuts to support him. But answers to questions such as this one will really seal his fate. People hate phonies, and he is coming across as a platinum plated, card carrying professional political phony with a condescending attitude to match.

POPSTalk about obstructing justice The chutzpah of the Bush Admin truly knows no bounds (which I realize isn't much of a revelation, but still can't be pointed out often enough!) Now, in addition to their recent refusal to hand over documents subpoenaed by Congress, the White House is telling former aids not to testify, even though they've been subpoenaed! The notes below refer to Sara Taylor, who is alleged to have potentially valuable information regarding the questionable firings of several US Attorneys, but according to Raw Story , Harriet Miers has also been instructed not to testify. In the letter (referenced in the clip below) from Neil Eggleston, Taylor's attorney, he notes that she is currently caught between the subpoena for her testimony from Congress and orders from the President not to testify. These contrary directions undoubtedly create a monumental clash between the executive and legislative branches of

POPSKids Conftont Bush on Torture, Which, Of Course, He Denies Leave it to the kids to have the guts to confront the torturer in chief and hold him to the fire. Of course, the president simply scanned the note with his eyes, smiled at the student and offered assurance that America does not engage in torture. My guess is the kid knew it was bullshit, or the letter would not have been written in the first place. Now, if only our professional media had the same chutzpah as this kid and could stand up to Bush and demand answers and accountability.

POPSCheney Says He and His Honchos are Above the Law. Cheney actually has the chutzpah to demand that the lawsuit filed against him by Valerie Plame and her husband Joseph Wilson should be thrown out because the leaking of her name and position at the CIA was, essentially, all in a day's work. I wonder what it must feel like to be working in a sewer if that is the case.

POPSTenet is Making Us Pay for the Truth
What chutzpah. George Tenet, the man who signed-on with the Bush administration to assist them big time with their lying us into war, now, after three years of total silence, has decided the public has the right to know the truth. The right that is if they pay for it. He wants us to dish out 20+ dollars to read his whining about how Cheney and others have turned poor little George CIA Tenet into a victim of their mishandling, manipulation and downright lying. For three years since he left office he said nothing. All the time while he was in the administration, he remained silent about what Bush and company, especially Cheney, were doing behind the scenes. But now that his ego has been hurt, after accepting his medal of freedom of course, he feels the need to come clean and show how poorly he was and is being treated. And yes, you heard right, he insists we pay him to learn what he should have told all of us years ago before all the many lives have been lost and injured. Shame on him

POPSMovie Review- HOAX i saw this last night- i had low expectations b/c aside from Pretty Woman, I'm not particularly a Richard Gere fan-- at first i wasn't really sold- the movie seemed a bit outlandish-- however, after sticking with it I found it to be quite enjoyable. The story is so absurd it's hard to believe it-- but knowing that it was based on a true story kept me into it--- i wouldn't give it an "A" like entertainment weekly- but all in all- very good movie-- and what a crazy story!

POPS"FEMA for Kidz Rap": I am not making this up A fifty-second rap about FEMA and how important disaster preparedness is. Via http://snipurl.com/1bdk9. The performer is Scott Wolfson I think he's still with the government. Someone with more chutzpah than me should phone his office and ask if he's the guy who recorded this (301-504-7051).
