POPSMormons call for civility after gay marriage vote Un-Fucking-Believable! They fight tooth and nail to deny equal rights to the Gay Americans in California, and then call for civility? Really? You want civility from them, after spending mass amounts of money to destroy their lives? Where was your civility then? Oh, now that you won, you think you can call for civility? FUCK YOU! , I'm dismayed that I EVER thought that you bigoted ASS WIPES ever had a moral ideology. And I'm even happier for no longer calling my self a Moron Mormon. You can take your sanctimonious better-than-thou attitude and shove it up your ASS!

POPSBringing Us Together "As is often the case in this election, Obama has a more promising but more limited record. His message is one of unity, and his own life provides evidence that he means it. He is physical testament to the bridging of our ethnic divides, and he gracefully calls on America to heal its wounds. Addressing the persistent power of race to separate us, he said last spring: "To simply wish it away, to condemn it without understanding its roots, only serves to widen the chasm of misunderstanding."

POPSSprouting from an Acorn Editorial writers from Little Rock to Buffalo condemned ACORN's action as an affront to both civility and freedom of speech. Editorialists also pointed out that the "spending cuts" the protesters railed against were imaginary - Gingrich proposed merely to slow the growth in some welfare programs and turn control back to the states. Yet ACORN had only just begun. Two days later, 50 to 100 of the same protesters hit their main target - a House Banking subcommittee considering changes to the Community Reinvestment Act, a law that allows groups like ACORN to force banks into making high-risk loans to low-credit customers. The CRA's ostensible purpose is to prevent banks from discriminating against minorities. But Rep. Marge Roukema (R-NJ), who chaired the subcommittee, was worried that charges of discrimination had become an excuse for lowering credit standards. She warned that new, Democrat-proposed CRA regulations could amount to an illegal quota system.

POPSThe way it’s going to be on clipmarks - from God! To be more precise, CMs is your place, you decide who stays, who goes. Only it's very apparent your views are slanted. One only has to read the clippings of the left vs. the right to see you side with the far left. Without having any objectivity, you are not able to judge fairly, but who cares, it's your place right. Clipmarks is great in concept, however with you not being able to remain neutral, it really screws up your judgement there fellow. until my IP is banned.......dl211

POPSDelahunt Is Glad Addington Is Al-Qaida Target Congressman Delahunt's response was, "I'm glad they finally have a chance to see you." Mr. Delahunt now denies he meant what he said. But what he clearly said was "I'm glad they finally have a chance to see you." Al Qaeda now knows the face of one of the men who relentlessly pursues its henchmen and deals with their interrogations. Mr. Addington volunteered for public service, not a death sentence with Congressional encouragement. Delahunt is both a vile liar and a cowardly lion willing to roar down at Mr. Addington while encouraging terrorists to do his dirty work in a war he has been ineffective at stopping. Congressman Delahunt's email address is william.delahunt@mail.house.gov. Congressman Delahunt can be reached at 202-225-3111 and by fax at 202-225-5658 Or, you can ask Barack Obama yourself at (866) 675-2008 http://youtube.com/watch?v=AEDR7ghl7AU

POPSObama & Hamas: McCain Camp Responds: Andy McCarthy We understand why Senator Obama doesn't want to engage in a debate over leadership and judgment with John McCain, but the American people demand that debate take place. Just today, the president of Iran, whom Senator Obama wants to meet with unconditionally, called the state of Israel a 'stinking corpse.' Iran is the paymaster and state sponsor of Hamas. In his victory speech this week, Senator Obama stated that 'wisdom' is meeting with our enemies, including Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, North Korea's Kim Jong Il, Venezuela's Hugo Chavez and Cuba's Raul Castro. John McCain couldn't disagree more. Rather than giving tyrants and dictators the prestige of meeting with an American president, John McCain will instead meet with the champions of human freedom around the world and opposition leaders fighting for liberty

POPSClipMarks commits to deactivating hostile commenters Bravo! "You must treat others who are on the site with respect and civility if you want to remain on it." When a person who is unwilling to abide by the EULA, or who habitually crosses the line between vigorous debate of an issue and putting down the clipper who raised it, users go into hiding. Please, CM, enforce the boundary - dump abusers.

POPSThe Dark Roots of Our Present "Leader"
continuing: Any objective observer with the barest awareness of contemporary history should be able to readily trace the rise of this powerful movement that has taken control of the reins of power in the United States. The most blatant initial historical record is when Grandpa Prescott Bush and some of his cronies tried to entice General Smedley Butler to muster enough World War I veterans to take over the Presidency of The United States in 1933. Then again, in 1942 (a year after World War II was declared), Prescott Bush and this same cabal -- in their drive toward fascism -- were finally forced by the "Trading With the Enemy Act" to terminate their extensive business dealings with Hitler. After WWII, this American branch of the Nazis didn't lose the war, they just transformed the battleground. They expanded their "connections" with Hitler's intelligence networks from The War into the formation of our own CIA. It is also this same group that President Eisenhower opaquely identified

POPSPolitical Bickering Dates back ...well...Forever Alas for Obama, he has set himself an impossible task - however appealing it might seem to many Americans fed up with the routine nastiness of Washington debates. The "bickering" reflects not only a struggle for power, after all, but also real policy differences. And no, it won't end, ever, unless one side manages to silence the other - presumably not what Obama or anyone else running for the White House actually has in mind.

POPSGet Real in 2008 "We just can't take all this bad news, so to some degree you start to understand the 'let's fiddle while Rome is burning' attitude, which will only increase. "People will be eating more red meat, drinking, smoking. But the big repentance will come," she cautions. Just not now. "Look for that in 2009."

POPSReasons to like ClipCast according to ouyangwulong... I've done a lot of writing about my perspective on ClipCast, but i just read some really insightful comments by ouyangwulong that said it better than i have been able to. Wanted to share them with everyone by clipping them. Thank you ouyangwulong. Not just for having such a positive perspective on it, but for truly tapping into and expressing the essence of what it's all about. It was truly a great feeling to read your comments. By the way, i'm eric goldstein on facebook. Would love to see the "other side" of your clips...friend me if you like :)

POPSFrom The Horse's Mouth "You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on." -- George W. Bush Yes, but you can't fool all of the people all of the...what I mean to say is... fool me... you can't get fooled again!

POPSTucker Carlson, Enraged by flirtation... HUH?
This is so typical of Tucker. His 'Locker Room' mentality permeates throughout his whole show. Tell me, "Why the hell did they throw, Phil Donahue off and put the likes of this immature idiot on?" Could it possibly be, that the average viewer of MSNumbedBC has the same EQ (emotional intelligence) as the likes of Tucker? If they would rather watch Carlson's banal rhetoric than spend an hour of intelligent conversations and great knowledge brought forth by someone like Phil, I guess we all know the answer to that question. Yet, this sometime bow-tied, sometime neck-tied schmuck should at least, keep his spew non-violent. When he crosses the line of civility and advocates on-the-air, that gays who go into men's rest-rooms should be battered if they are construed to look at you cross-eyed, then, even those who somehow enjoy his clownish conduct should object! THEY THREW DON IMUS UNDER THE BUS FOR LESS THAN THAT, at least Imus, was just an obnoxious clod and didn't champion brutality!

POPSAtheists Need to Chill Michael Shermer makes a point that needs to be made. Atheists need to remember what they stand for , not merely what they are against . Ridicule and contempt have no place in science, and haters should not tarnish its reputation by association. In the words of the greatest consciousness raiser of the 20th century, Martin Luther King, Jr., in his epic "I Have a Dream" speech: "In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline." If atheists do not want theists to prejudge them in a negative light, then they must not do unto theists the same.

POPSUS/Bush Warned: Learn from Rome That's what 6 years of conservative rule will get you. “Sound familiar?” Mr Walker said. “In my view, it’s time to learn from history and take steps to ensure the American Republic is the first to stand the test of time.” Mr Walker’s views carry weight because he is a non-partisan figure in charge of the Government Accountability Office, often described as the investigative arm of the US Congress. While most of its studies are commissioned by legislators, about 10 per cent – such as the one containing his latest warnings – are initiated by the comptroller general himself.

POPSRon Paul's views on abortion i was very intrigued by Ron Paul and his views on taxes, etc., but have been put off by his stance regarding a woman's right to choose. having a personal beliefs against abortion is fine with me, believe what you want! but taking away a woman's right to make choices about her own body, and even trying to overturn Roe v. Wade?!?! its excessive, i feel.
