POPSMemorial Day - Lets all give a SINCERE THANK YOU to all who have served this country in the pass, present, and the future and who have served this country and fought so courageously to protect our freedom that allows us to live in such a GREAT COUNTRY. Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day because it was a time set aside to honor the nation's Civil War dead by decorating their graves. It was first widely observed on May 30, 1868, to commemorate the sacrifices of Civil War soldiers, by proclamation of General John A. Logan of the Grand Army of the Republic, an organization of former sailors and soldiers. On May 5, 1868, Logan declared in General Order No. 11 that:

POPS"Moon-eyed people" continues: As the legend goes, the group arrived at Mobile Bay around 1170, made their way up the Alabama and Coosa rivers and built stone fortifications at several spots near present-day Chattanooga, Tenn. Dana Olson, an author who has spent decades trying to prove the legend, said circumstantial evidence on both sides of the Atlantic is too compelling to ignore. "I've traveled all over the country finding these forts. Some of them are pretty well known, but I'm still uncovering some of them," said Olson, the author of "The Legend of Prince Madoc and the White Indians."

POPSFriday Night Clip -. BBB issue alert on Worldwide Loan Club What can I say? Off in the distance I hear the sounds of mass clicking of user control panels (user cp) as forum signatures around the traps are replaced with the next big thing. All singalong this will be the one I've waited for la la la. 2008 is full of programs with elaborate descriptions and hype Quite amusing really. Seems to me a more simple one word description causes less problems. A duck is a duck as is a hyip a hyip no matter what frock it is wearing. Or how it is talked up

POPSAttorney Dissects "Big Eddy Club" I bought this book because I know some of the people from the PD that were involved in this case. For the first time in my life, I threw a book in the trash unfinished. If you want a completely distorted view of the south - read it, because that is what you will get. The author leaves the impression that Phenix City, AL is still the human waste disposal it was before martial law was ordered and it was cleaned up to be the respected community today. Rose lead the reader to believe all the blacks in Columbus, GA live below Macon Road and all the whites live north of it -- still. That is not true. And his superior European attitude about the US's way of dealing with our criminals is your typical "look down your nose" type. As for the story of Gary - consider Mr. Rose is an advocate against the death penalty and believes that the oppression of the "black man" still goes on in the 'evil' south to this day. And eventually he ended up on Gary's legal team.
