But yesterday, right here in Pennsylvania, Sen, Biden said tax relief should only go to ‘middle class people -- people making under $150,000 a year.’ It’s interesting how their definition of rich has a way of creeping down.” As reported by MSNBC, the Obama campaign later said Biden was citing “an example of what someone making that amount would get under Obama’s tax plan. Indeed, Biden’s $150,000 remark came after he referred to someone making $1.4 million.” MSNBC also points out that Obama said at one forum in August that, under his plan, “if you make $150,000 or less, you will see a tax cut. If you’re making $250,000 a year or more, you’re going to see a modest increase.” I thought the tax-cut threshold was $200,000, not $150,000.

POPSCrushed by the Elephant This is probably the best explaination for the totally confused campaign that McCain is so unfortunately emersed in.....he truely seems to "rather not be there" when he appears with Palin on television news interviews. The idea that he had something going in the 2004 election, but got defeated by not being down and dirty enough......and then wanting another chance at the top job.....and then caving into the divisive politics of the right wingnuts.....is very plausible, and very convincing. POPSYes, Kids Belong in Pubs After all, initiating your children into the ritual of popping to the pub for a drink and a packet of crisps is a lovely way to carry on the pub-going tradition. I totally disagree! Go to a café instead! There are many things in this world that are restricted to adults. Drinking, driving, sex, etc. Should we maybe let kids get behind the wheel of a car, because it's the perfect way to introduce them to road safety? Or drag them to strip joints to educate them in finer points of the human anatomy? I think not. Keep kids out of pubs and let us have our beer in peace! Is nothing sacred anymore? :confused: I'd like to suggest we also ban... Australians, because they can get pretty trolleyed and start calling everyone "mate". Now stop right there!
