POPSiPhone The Silver Lining Theory holds that in every dark cloud there is a silver lining and in every silver lining there is a dark cloud. This clip shows clearly that the iPhone does have its drawbacks. This clip was taken from an article about the pros and cons of media convergence (old media meets new media) and how it can be leveraged for business

POPSAn open apology to boomers everywhere “We heard the voice of a man who can inspire with his words, who's unashamed of his own intelligence, who's willing to treat the citizens of this country like smart, capable people, worthy of respect.” So unlike Bush and his neo-cons. “For the first time in some of our lifetimes, we believed.” 60’s idealism coming full circle. With a little less violence.

POPSpersonal computer The author recommends to use a PC for schools, i.e, :"If you are buying a Mac for school, remember that much of the software and technical support provided by colleges is geared towards Windows, so even if you buy a Mac, you might end up having to pay for a copy of Windows to use via Boot Camp."

POPSWhen Barack's Berserkers Lost The Plot
'I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion,' she said as she deftly detached journalists from their readers and viewers. 'I'm going to Washington to serve the people of this country.' In Britain, the most snobbish attacks on Margaret Thatcher did not come from aristocrats but from the communist historian Eric Hobsbawm, who opined that Thatcherism was the 'anarchism of the lower middle classes'. George Osborne, of the supposedly compassionate Conservative party, revealed himself to be a playground bully when he derided Gordon Brown for being 'faintly autistic'. In an age when politics is choreographed, voters watch out for the moments when the public-relations facade breaks down and venom pours through the cracks. Their judgment is rarely favourable when it does. Obama knows it. He was warning American liberals to stay away from the Palin family. He understands better than his supporters that it is not a politician's enemies who lose elections, but his friends.

POPSSchool Choice in A Socialist Country
Continued: Before the reform, most families depended on state-run schools following a uniform national curriculum. Now they can turn to the "friskolor," or "independent schools," which choose their own teaching methods and staff, and manage their own buildings. They remain completely government-financed and are not allowed to charge tuition fees. The difference is that their government funding goes to private companies which then try to run the schools more cost-effectively and keep whatever taxpayer money they save. "If you run a good operation then you make a profit. But you won't get any students if you are bad," she said. "You have to do a good job to get money; that is even more important for a private school." "Today, I think we have at least as good quality if not better than some independent schools because we have really joined the battle and use our money in a much better way," said Eva-Lotta Kastenholm, who is in charge of public schools, a suburb of Stockholm.
