POPSAdvanced Style: fashion inspiration from the silver-haired set The blogger says We have started a blog of our own that documents street style and fashion of the mature and wizened. Our aim is to take photos of elders with a unique sense of personal style that has developed with age. We noticed so many amazingly dressed older people in New York and are having a great time getting to know them, hearing their stories and capturing a bit of their style to share with others. There are some great stories, too. What do you call a union between a Tasmanian man and a French woman? Devilishly chic , of course! :-)

POPSMicro Four Thirds Olympus cameras use a sensor that is about half the size of a full frame sensor, and has a ratio of 4x3. Other sub frame DSLRs use a sensor between that size and full frame, and also full frame sensors which are the size of a piece of 35mm film. The micro four thirds uses the four thirds sensor, but it eliminates the mirror so it is no longer a true DSLR. This allows them to make even thinner bodies, and also make smaller lenses since they are closer to the sensor. They can also use existing four thirds lenses with an adapter. Basically this gives you a camera with near point and shoot size with interchangeable lenses and DSLR quality pictures. This camera is a concept for now, but it is an open platform and Panisonic already has a micro four thirds camera in the works. It doesn't have a cool retro look like this one though.

POPSBeijing's breath-taking new library (Pictures by yours truly) So "Phase II" of the National Library of China just opened down the block from my apartment, and it is absolutely amazing. Filled with open space and natural light, it is gigantic yet personal, with the feeling of a pavilion. Long lines of sight that stretch uninterrupted out into the city blur the division between indoor and outdoor. Their website is also pretty cool - in English, and with lots of digitized collections, making it worthwhile for anyone wanting to learn more about China.

While reading this a scene in the movie "RUNNING MAN" came to mind and a few question one being, how has Nick Veasey made it this long with all that exposure ? next can this process by made to work on a large scale and could the exposure time be cut to match someone passing by it ?
