ANOTHER SEIU BEATING– State Worker Bloodied Because He Was Going to Expose Corruption

by merrie  11-8-2009    1
HotAirPundit found the video report: http://www.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/8178 Besides being a state worker, Hamidi says he’s an unpaid reporter for a cable access show and a vocal critic of the SEIU. He calls the state workers’ union corrupt. “This is a union hall that is leased and is being furnished and equipped and everything with our money,” said Hamidi. Hamidi says he came to the hall to expose how he says SEIU union leaders are spending tens of thousands of dollars on a political race, he claims, they have no right to do. After he and a photographer walked in to the meeting, it didn’t take long for Hamidi to be right out the door and on his way to the hospital. The local SEIU says the man was acting like a bully.

When you lied once at least, who will trust you further? Striking example of our totally corrupted medicine and health care. Corrupted by whom? Who corrupt society and its institutions? How we calling those who perform the corruption and their accomplices? If these organized individuals do corrupt our society, how can we expect any benefits for our health and well being from them, their actions? Lie cannot last forever and in the end the truth will find its way out. Who will resist to make it happen?

Blackpool Conservatives accused.
notareargunner
by notareargunner  10-31-2009    1
The sweet smell of hypocrisy wafts round Blackpool like a ruptured effluent pipe out into the Irish Sea. For years the public have ignored the murmurings of ‘irregularity’ in local politics because not a single body appeared to have the stomach or authority to confront dubious activities. The imagination with which politicians interpret rules to suit themselves is farcical and responsible for the moral cesspit that governs public perception. Where are simple ethics of Right and Wrong? Definitely not in Westminster and the country might say, not in many council offices. It is this perception that prevents perfectly decent people from entering politics and playing an active role in society. When Steve Flanigan resigned as Treasurer of the Blackpool South Conservatives, there was not a murmur. The fact that a leading councillor had received donations of £250 from the late George Thompson of the Pleasure Beach and had chosen not to immediately declare it to the Treasurer is and was

Many Obama bundlers have secured slots on federal advisory panels and commissions. Still more have benefited from the time-honored patronage tradition of rewarding political benefactors with ambassadorships. Clinton did it. Bush did it. And despite all his fantastical, Balloon Boy-level rhetoric of bringing a “new politics” to Washington, Obama’s done it, too. His ambassador to London, Louis Susman, is a Chicago crony with no diplomatic experience who bundled between $200,000 and $500,000 for Team Obama and is known as “The Vacuum Cleaner” for his fundraising prowess. His ambassador to France, entertainment mogul Charlie Rivkin headed up Obama’s California fundraising operations, raking in $500,000 for the campaign and another $300,000 for the inaugural. His ambassador to Spain, Boston money

Why MP's are corrupt
notareargunner
by notareargunner  10-28-2009
The Green Book did not give MPs line by line instructions over what to do if their lawn needed re-seeding. But common sense might suggest that this was not appropriate use of the accommodation allowance and MPs whining now that it’s unfair for them to have to pay back money spent on lavish re decorations or topiary trimming need to get a grip on reality. The demand that the tax payer should pay £18.000 for a book shelf for a MP in his last months before permanent retirement is offensive under all aspects of sense and even law. The matter of MPs buying and switching houses at the tax payer expense is an offense under law and an offense under decency and for Labour to defend the perpetrators is offensive to the friends and families of those dying for this Once Great Nation. LET A JURY IN A COURT OF LAW BE THE TRUE ARBITER.

Tessa Jowell's rich, corrupt husband

What is better for the nation, this corrupt man with his complicity spouse, or a wanker who charges the nation for his porn whilst his wife walks around with a police escort and anti-stab jacket? That's Labour all over. Labour in Ashton in Makersfield willl be losing one of the most inept, lazy self promotional MP's in Lancashire and then have no say on his replacement. That's Labour. Blackpool MP Gordon Marden has not a word of encouragement for the family of Andy Miller who died in rge hands of a bailiff as he was demanding payment for a challenged fine for speeding. The evidence of They Work for You shows where Gay Gordon's priorities lie, and it appears not to be in the interest of the ordinary English voter.

Good Intentions with Disastrous Effects
billpar
by billpar  10-27-2009
But fraud and corruption are only part of the failed system that is Medicare – the other is basic accounting. In this morning’s Washington Post, Robert J. Samuelson compares the troubles with Medicare to the “public option,” which he calls a “mirage,” that is gaining strength in Congress. While Medicare is a monopoly, the proposed government-run health insurance plan seeks to attract investment capital to subsidize the enormous costs that it will incur (such as marketing campaigns). If this fails, which it undoubtedly would, Congress would step in to bail it out. When asked why it has taken Medicare so long to figure out they were being scammed, Attorney General Eric Holder told CBS’s Steve Kroft, "I think lack of resources probably. And then I think people I don't think necessarily thought that something as well intentioned as Medicare and Medicaid would necessarily attract fraudsters. But I think we have to understand that it certainly has." Good Intentions maybe but...

Where in the World is Global Warming a Priority?
billpar
by billpar  10-26-2009
Sure, there would be a huge transfer of wealth from the developed nations to developing nations, but that’s not what Torethy Frank wants. She says, “There is too much corruption in the government and it goes in people’s pockets. Give the money directly to the people for businesses so we can support ourselves without having to rely on the government.” As David Kreutzer mentions in his Politico chat wrap, there much faster and much less expensive ways to adapt to climate change than trying to change the temperature by capping greenhouse gas emissions. Mosquito nets and attacking breeding grounds of mosquitoes and building levees to protect against potentially rising sea levels are all much cheaper but dramatically more effective than signing on to something that would prohibit these countries to develop.

Wall Street's Naked Swindle
Socratoad
by Socratoad  10-26-2009
This was a brokered bloodletting, one in which the power of the state was used to help effect a monstrous consolidation of financial and political power. Heading into 2008, there were five major investment banks in the United States: Bear, Lehman, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Today only Morgan Stanley and Goldman survive as independent firms, perched atop a restructured Wall Street hierarchy. And while the rest of the civilized world responded to last year's catastrophes with sweeping measures to rein in the corruption in their financial sectors, the United States invited the wolves into the government, with the popular new president, Barack Obama — elected amid promises to clean up the mess — filling his administration with Bear's and Lehman's conquerors, bestowing his papal blessing on a new era of robbery. Read the whole nasty sociopathic scam

Malalai Joya, Afghanistan Woman Speaks Out
sahara
by sahara  10-26-2009    1
For expressing my views I have been expelled from my seat in parliament, and I have survived numerous assassination attempts. The fact that I was kicked out of office while brutal warlords enjoyed immunity from prosecution for their crimes should tell you all you need to know about the "democracy" backed by Nato troops. In the constitution it forbids those guilty of war crimes from running for high office. Yet Karzai has named two notorious warlords, Fahim and Khalili, as his running mates for the upcoming presidential election. Under the shadow of warlordism, corruption and occupation, this vote will have no legitimacy, and once again it seems the real choice will be made behind closed doors in the White House. As we say in Afghanistan, "the same donkey with a new saddle".

Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day
merrie
by merrie  10-24-2009
The Boondock Saints 1999 .....It's particularly gory and bloody, but this just makes it all the more realistic. In real life, there is a significant amount of blood when someone is shot in the head. The movie has some Christian subtexts, I think I've heard about five major theories about the whole movie's meaning. This shows, in my opinion, that there was obviously a lot of thought put into the movie. I'd recommend it to anyone who can stand the gore, even if they aren't Christians. 10/10
