POPSHerbal Horse Remedies This page has an article about different herbal supplements and herbal remedies for horses. I am now particularly interested in this, as one of my best friends just gave my daughter and I an older horse. We will still be keeping it at her house for several months, just helping to pay the feed bill. Bunne is a 24 year old, absolutely SWEET, perfectly trained, quarter horse mare. Her only fault is she has some arthritis in one of her rear hooves. Therefore, I am looking into natural herbal remedies for horses. We are currently giving her Bute and MSM.

POPSBiofuel flight gets turbulent response
He says algae will be the most likely source for renewable energy in the future. Algae? The way energy use is skyrocketing, in time anything available will be used, corn, rice, wood, cotton. Over above any waste material any fossil fuels and nuclear energy. The problem is the escalation of energy use is beyond the capacity to produce it. Has it ever occurred to anyone that the biggest waste by product of energy use the way things are designed today, is HEAT. There should make more productive means of energy transformation developed. So much of the 'energy' that is produced as fuel burns to power an engine amongst other things, goes straight out the exhaust pipe, without performing any useful function. Like the way they use nuclear energy to boil water to make steam. after the medium is expanded through heating/combustion, it stays that way. Why? because we're too busy thinking about the next 5 minutes. The children, and grandchildren can worry about the future. If there is one.

POPSEnergy Crisis? What energy crisis? The Planet offers an abundance of energy solutions - but it has been in the interests of oil companies and vested interests to milk the people for all they are worth. Won't it be great when we have a World sustained by natural means and allow the oil barons to starve - bravo!

POPSPoisonous Cosmetics is Big Business This publication was much too long to clip it all--but really scary to read! These carcinogens were found in 43% of products tested...many of them popular baby products.

POPSA Cutting Question This entire article is interesting, and yet, as a Jewish male, a bit painful to think about. (Yes I know, not only Jewish men are circumcised, but let's face it, we started the trend, right?) Rubbing the residue of foreskins on one's face or other bodily location might very well be a touchy subject. Read the article and decide if Oprah's attitude is correct on this one. After all, everyone knows, what Oprah says is good, is GOOD!

POPSUK scientists debate animal testing in cosmetics I don't see any justification for using animals to test cosmetics. We don't need any more "new" or "original" cosmetics, not at the cost of animal suffering. Fortunately the UK has banned animal testing in the UK, and it will be banned all across the EU in 2009.
