POPSWhat happens to Sarah Palin now? She has a charm, now we can afford ourself admit it. Beautiful moose-loving hockey mom.;) Real grass-root folkish courageous American. Her example (and Hillary's) show, that politic is a rough merciless business and, IMHO, not for gracious female nature, especially on presidential levels. Has she political future? Has she enough inner power to reform ideology of her party as well as her own convictions? Can she find the ways to hearts, souls and minds ordinary people without inciting hate and cave instincts?

POPSMcCain Advocates Communism in Debate; Homeowner Bailout Taxpayers to bailout defaulting homeowners? Let's take 300 of that billion and go in and buy those home loan mortgages and negotiate with those people in their homes, 11 million homes or more, so that they can afford to pay the mortgage, stay in their home. Then, he even ADMITS the criticism, how is that fair to responsible homeowners, that have to pay for the bailout of others who did not make their payments as contracted? Now, I know the criticism of this. Well, what about the citizen that stayed in their homes...That paid their mortgage payments? It doesn't help that person in their home if the next door neighbor's house is abandoned. And so we've got to reverse this. We ought to put the homeowners first. McCain advocates communism, which the dictionary defines: a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed For a Vietnam Vet fighting communism to advocate thi

POPSUK guilty of 'a crime against humanity'. The court of appeal ruled that the exiled families have the right to go back to the islands, but ministers have applied to take the case to the House of Lords for a final decision, due in June. The government argues that resettling the islanders could lead to "substantial, open-ended" liabilities to British taxpayers and environmental damage. The report, written by resettlement expert John Howell, puts the resettlement costs at £25m, including £17.5m in capital costs and £7.5m in technical assistance. ...Guardian

POPS What's McCain's "Outreach" Means Energy would be taxed through the back door by placing a cap on the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) that energy-producing companies can emit. It puts a legal limit on the amount of energy that can be drawn from conventional sources such as oil, coal, and natural gas. The purchase price of the permits is a tax, and will have the same effects as a tax on the market; it would raise the price of the energy source, i.e. coal, oil, etc., and therefore, it would likewise raise the costs of all production that relies on those sources, as well as the price of all goods and services that" are produced using these products. ... "Over the next 100 years, the CO2 reductions from the tax will result in a temperature change that even its proponents concede, is so small," nobody will even notice, but a massive tax increase gets us.

POPS McCain’s Costly Tax On Energy What do John McCain, Environmental Defense, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the Pew Center on Climate Change have in common? They have united to support a massive new tax increase on energy The real surprise is that in a Republican primary in which Senator McCain’s anti-tax credentials are in question, none of his opponents have even mentioned his advocacy of this new broad-based energy tax. I will leave it to political pundits to speculate on the reasons why. But if it is thought that the climate change benefits will be worth these significant new costs on consumers and producers — think again. Over the next 100 years, the CO2 reductions from the tax will result in a temperature change that even its proponents concede, is so small as to be virtually undetectable by current technologies.

POPSToxic Mold and the Hidden Room Nasty stuff. I do mold pretreatments and clean-up. I would recommend that everyone check their homeowners policy. It is becoming a common practice for insurance companies to exclude mold damage from policies. Clean-up can be very costly or in extreme cases the home is an entire loss.

POPSUSA built on backbone of terrorism as defined by USA now It continues to be absolutely remarkable how a country built on revolution, using an insurgency to wage warfare against the sovereign legal government, can turn about and start calling the same in modern times, evil and terrorists. One man's terrorist is another man's hero or patriot. One declares war on a nation, not a concept or ideal. Something is gravely wrong with the direction of this United States of America. We are not holding to our constitution, we can just toss it out in the name of national security? Hog Wash! HOG WASH! What have we become? I don't want to look in the national mirror.

POPSThe TAO of war Therefore when the battle is joined, The underdog will win. Whenever you advise a ruler in the way of the Divine, Counsel him not to use force to conquer the universe. For this would only cause resistance. Thorn bushes spring up wherever the army has passed. Lean years follow in the wake of a great war, for no thing is so costly. Just do what needs to be done. Never take advantage of power, for that is a public display of weakness and cowardess. Achieve results, But never glory in them. Achieve results, But never boast. Achieve results, But never be proud. Achieve results, Because this is the natural way. Achieve results, But not through violence. Force is followed by loss of strength. This is not the way of the Divine. That which goes against the Divine comes to an early end. The good general knows how not to fight. The supreme general never finds war necessary. The wise soldier who safely returns home simply tills his garden, honors his wife, and listens

POPSGuard Troops in Puerto Rico Wants the War to End
The Governor of Puerto Rico gets a standing O from military service people at the mention of ending the Iraq war. 7 soldiers publish an OPED in the New York Times last week explaining why staying in Iraq is a mistake. Petitions are signed by soldiers serving in Iraq asking for troop withdrawals etc etc etc. And yet, when you listen to the Republicans they tell you that ALL the troops wanna stay in Iraq until their job is done and they have procured victory. I have no doubt whatsoever that there are many troops in Iraq that do feel that way, but from all the polls being taken, the majority of them wanna come home.......yesterday. I am sick to my stomach over the way this administration continually uses our brave soldiers as propaganda tools. Just like Ari Fleischer is doing when he didn't even bother learning the name of the soldier who lost both his legs in Iraq, who is appearing in one of their pro-war commercials. They are all shameful to the core.

POPSVeteran's Life After War A total of 32,010 (31 percent) received mental health and/or psychosocial diagnoses, including 25,658 (25 percent) who received mental health diagnoses (56 percent of whom had two or more diagnoses About 29 percent of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan have enrolled in VA health care, a high rate compared with 10 eprcent of Vietnam veterans. "Our results signal a need for improvements in the primary prevention of military service-related mental health disorders, particularly among our youngest service members," they conclude. "Furthermore, early detection and evidence-based treatment in both VA and non-VA mental health and primary care settings is critical in the prevention of chronic mental illness, which thr eatens to bring the war back home as a costly personal and public health burden."
