The suit alleged that Edwards, Hensley, and the Imperial Klans of America as a whole incited its members to use violence against minorities. "The people of Meade County, Kentucky, have spoken loudly and clearly. And what they've said is that ethnic violence has no place in our society, that those who promote hate and violence will be held accountable and made to pay a steep price," said Southern Poverty Law Center founder Morris Dees.

POPSHearty Lentil Soup with Smoked Sausage
2. Add the onion and carrots to the pot, adding up to 1 Tablespoon of olive oil if necessary to prevent sticking. Cook 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring so that the vegetables are coated with the caramelized bits left in the pot from cooking the sausage. Add the garlic and cook 1 to 2 more minutes. 3. Add the water, lentils, and tomatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, with the lid cracked, 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Stir in the parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and red pepper flakes if desired. Simmer, with the lid cracked, an additional 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5. Carefully puree about half of the soup in a blender on low speed until still slightly chunky, then return to the pot. Or use an immersion hand blender (I absolutely love my KitchenAid Hand Blender) to puree the soup to desired consistency. Stir in sausage. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Makes about 8 cups.

POPSBroccoli Onion Chickpea soup Serve topped with whatever you like: chopped fresh chives, a drizzle of olive oil, some coarsely grated Pecorino Romano, a dollop of sour cream, a slice or two of sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack, some nice blue cheese crumbles, or absolutely nothing at all. This would be vegetarian with a veggie broth. You can also add some cream.

POPSI Don't Like Children. What a taboo! This post made me wonder. Most of my girlfriends have children, BUT when we sit and talk, I often hear them say; "I love them to bits, but if I could choose over, I never would have had them". Is that how most parents really feel? Honestly? I also have friends who appear to feel "forced" to bear children, because that's just what "real" women do. Do parents in fact lie about how fabulous it is to be a parent? To be childless by choice, still bears a kind of stigma, as in you're not a "real" woman unless you breed. I guess there's a taboo for parents too, to not be allowed to admit, that it perhaps ain't all it is cracked up to be. So! Is having kids "the greatest experience ever" or is it all just lies and hype? How many people dare voice their honest opinion on this touchy subject?

POPSMurdered young man of Todmorden No matter who or what created the character of this young Englishman, he did not deserve to be murdered on the streets of Todmorden. Close scrutiny of this boy's history shows the dire pits into which the Social Services in Britain have fallen. The cases of mal-management are legend, but the this over paid bureaucratic self opinionated shower of professionals keep making basic errors. Too much eduction and no involvement of reality. They go to work five morning a week, make occasional house call, collect their expense claims, and at four-thirty go to the pub to tell their fellow workers what good eggs they are. They are cracked and need overhauling with a yard brush. Had they done their job correctly, this young man would not have thought there was a need for him to carry and use a knife on some other young person. Social Service employees are so much like their worthless employers, the politician, that it is impossible to tell them apart.

POPSCracked Software Found On Authentic Asus Recovery DVD One of the confidential Asus documents includes a PowerPoint presentation that details "major problems" identified by the company, including application compatibility issues. Personal files Our reader isn't the only one to discover strange files on Asus recovery discs. A US poster on the Asus forums reports finding files including CVs on his recovery disc - click here to see a screengrab of the files. A contributor to the forums at the Australian APC magazine also reports finding the same software cracker as our reader. An Asus spokesman has apologised to the customers who found the files. "We will be investigating this at quite a high level," he told PC Pro. "Once the investigation is complete, we will ensure it doesn't happen again." He was unable comment on how the files got on the disc.
