The Dekotora or Decotora is an abbreviation for "Decoration Truck" - a kind of loudly decorated and illuminated truck which one can see in Japan. Dekotora uses designs such as traditional Japanese landscapes, manga or gundam characters or even Kabuki actors depending on the taste of its owners.
What happens if a Japanese truck "dies and goes to heaven?" It becomes one of the glorified "Decotora" trucks! Decorated trucks, vans and semis glow in the night with million lights, adding to the incredibly bright Tokyo street scene.
