I’ve had grave reservations about ACORN for some time, and over the past year we’ve seen numerous examples of serious allegations of wrongdoing on the part of this organization and its employees across the country. I simply can’t see the logic behind diverting much needed funding from worthy fire departments to this organization. So last week, I wrote a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano requesting that she rescind this grant from ACORN. As of today, the Secretary has not responded to my request. This site will post a copy of the letter for you to read and see for yourself. Rest assured, I’ll keep working to help prevent further ACORN schemes to procure federal money. Our capital city is trying to cut back on police officers and to merge fire-fighters and the EMS to save money (which in itself is ridiculous), but I'd be willing to guess that our local ACORN organization got some of this money. Especially since our RINO Governor took all the Stimulus money and we've seen no apparent changes.

These were characters who, prior to their arrests in 1996, had stockpiled close to 2,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate and conducted field training exercises, practiced bomb-making, and trained with illegal automatic weapons. Now, all the Fox talkers have been in heavy denial about extremists showing up for their tea-party protests, even making a regular joke out of it by asking the protesters they have on their show if they're Klan members and the like. But it's becoming clearer all the time that, while not everyone at these events is an extremist, the percentages of them keep going up and up. And with them, so does the threat to public safety.

POPSACLU Files Lawsuit Against Sheriff Joe Arpaio's Office and his son is a US citizen. He was also an employee of Handyman Maintenance at the time of the raid. The lawsuit claims that the Mora’s were detained for over 3 hours and denied food and water during this time. It also alleges that the experience was “humiliating” for Julian Mora since he is a diabetic and was forced to urinate in the parking lot. Almost lost in the story is the fact that the raid resulted in the apprehension of 60 illegal aliens, while the company itself did work for the Maricopa County government. The strategy for silencing Arpaio seems clear; Investigate and sue him into submission. An anti Arpaio website claims that the Sheriff’s office has been involved in over 5000 lawsuits and proclaims that 42 million has been spent defending Arpaio and his department. This is used as a justification for removing Arpaio, whether his efforts are sanctioned under the law is irrelevant to these groups. . . .

POPSFalse "terror alerts" for poltical reasons It's truly a full-time job keeping up with the mendacity of the warmongers...who now spread racist lies to try and get back in power. This clip, no surprise except for the fact that it's documented...but the Bush Administration, hoping to win the 2004 elections, wanted to get the "terror alert," raised. The more you can make people fear the more they go along with war and hate programs. So..false wars based on deliberate lies....now false "terror alerts," trying to win elections (vs. there not even being a real threat). POPSFeds rule change could nix Sheriff Arpaio’s immigrant sweeps That could allow the White House to derail Arpaio’s immigration enforcement actions, which have been made through a federal partnership that trains deputies to enforce immigration laws and pick up illegal immigrants. The sheriff also conducts workplace and drop-house raids under state laws. The MCSO has had an immigration enforcement agreement with the feds since April 2007 The sheriff was not sure whether the federal government would maintain its agreement with the MCSO. If it does not, he said the feds will have to take over the processing and detention of some of the illegal immigrants picked up in the Phoenix area. Napolitano also said Friday that federal rules regarding local police picking up illegal immigrants would be changed to focus on arresting those charged with violent and serious crimes.
