My letter to Hatch Dear Sen. Hatch, Do you know that in Indian country, EBT, means Eat Better Today ? Are you aware that child abuse rates rise at the end of the month because there isn't enough food to eat? To you Mr. Hatch, EBT merely means Electronic Benefits Transfer, the means by which people receive cash assistance and food stamps. You probably have no idea that EBT has that other meaning and what the consequences of not Eating Better Today means for children. I hear how they're so caring for the poor and so forth, . What a joke, Mr. Hatch. You've received government assistance for 34 years now: Senate salary since 1977, tax code which allows you to deduct investment losses (among other benefits) and intellectual property rights that protect your songwriting. You think that you've accomplished all by your own initiative. The middle class taxpayer should do more and you nothing? Poor children should do more and you less? What hubris, Mr. Hatch. Sincer
