POPSThoughts Before a Trial by Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff See source for her full letter. (intro con't) The list goes on and on — there are many more than I can possibly specify here — and all of the victims have one thing in common: they were charged in a court of law for criticizing Islam. Not for violent acts. Not for inciting others to violence or rebellion. Not for intimidation or threatening violence against any individual or group. No, they simply told the truth about Islam and the Koran, and stated their opinions about Islamization. Saying such things is now a crime in virtually the entire Western world.

POPSBlogger sued for linking to Mark Steyn The uber pathetic Richard Warman launches another SLAPP lawsuit. Why do Canadians allow this scumbag to continue his lawfare against so many good folks (this is the POS who sued Ezra levant and tried to silence Mark Steyn in the past.

POPSThe McCarthyism of the Canadian left All Christians will be quite interested I think to see how the progressives in Canada are showing their true selves by 'outing' members of a Catholic lay order (as if this was anything to hide, lol)--right in the house of Parliament!

POPSCanada : Hooray for Ujjal Dosanjh
con't " ..Mr. Dosanjh’s comments shocked some Sikh organizations, including the influential World Sikh Organization of Canada. ...Meanwhile, Mr. Dosanjh blamed what he described as Canada’s polite brand of multiculturalism for giving extremists the space to nurture old grudges brought from their homelands. At the same time, Canada has failed to instill its own values on new immigrants. “I think what we are doing to this country is that this idea of multiculturalism has been completely distorted, turned on its head to essentially claim that anything anyone believes – no matter how ridiculous and outrageous it might be – is okay and acceptable in the name of diversity. “Where we have gone wrong in this pursuit of multiculturalism is that there is no adherence to core values, the core Canadian values, which : That you don’t threaten people who differ with you; you don’t go attack them personally; you don’t terrorize the populace.” ...“I think Canadians need to engage i

POPSThank You ANN COULTER , for exposing the leftist rot in Canada. I am so glad this happened really. Mark Steyn, Ezra Levant, Kathy Shaidle, and many many others have been all too often left to fight this disgusting freedom-crushing movement alone. Hopefully now, more Canadian people will truly see the terrible direction they are headed by having their universities FILLED with these sc*mbags..., ahem....I mean, people. PS: that miserable hag Susan Cole (gloom n doomer on Kelly's Court) is an extreme leftist journalist even by the already lefty Canadian standards. She in NO way speaks for "all Canadians" as she tries to portray here.

POPSEzra Levant ROCKS I really love Ezra. He makes me feel so proud and inspires me to better things. He faces down every challenge and, so far, has WON THEM ALL. Lesser men would have quit by now! Excellent video featuring a talk by hero Paul Franklin, gorgeous Canadian soldier who survived a horrific suicide bomber attack in Afghanistan, in which he lost his legs.

POPSCanadian Human Rights Committee Under Investigation handles Section 13 complaints. So after years of lonely struggle they must be celebrating the motion to investigate the CHRC. Yet Ezra warns of the long road still ahead for Canadians trying to restore freedom of speech in their country: As Winston Churchill said after the breakthrough British victory at El Alamein, "this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal hearing on the Section 13 complaint against Maclean's magazine et al. begins on Monday in Vancouver. The Canadian Association of Journalists has formally applied for standing as an intervenor on behalf of Maclean's, but there is a dissenting voice. Visit Steyn Online and Free Mark Steyn! for links to all the reports and opinion as next week's kangaroo courtroom drama unfolds.

POPSThe battle for free speech rages in Canada Article: "Free Dominion was served with a human rights complaint last summer which was later dropped. Currently, we are in the midst of one defamation suit initiated by Richard Warman, and we have been served notice of another suit by Warman, as well as notice of a joint suit by Warman and Warren Kinsella. Ezra Levant is fighting a human rights complaint before the Alberta Human Rights Commission, and he has been served with notice of a defamation suit from Richard Warman. Mark Steyn is fighting several human rights complaints, and he is suffering almost daily abuse on Warren Kinsella’s blog. The most vocal writers who have been fighting the human rights commissions have been threatened with lawsuits and worse. Blogger Mike Brock even received an email that read, “I hope that type of sentiment comforts you the day you find yourself staring down the barrel of a 12 gauge shotgun, Mike.”
