POPSWestboro Baptist Church plans more controversial protests at funerals and cultural events
The Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to put a check on hurtful speech directed at private individuals, ruling 8-to-1 that the First Amendment protects it. Westboro Baptist Church, an evangelical group in based in Topeka with about 70 members, maintains that America's acceptance of homosexuals is inviting God's wrath, and their protest signs spout slogans such as "God hates fags" and "America is doomed." Already, a loose confederation of counterprotesters has sprung up, community by community, to try to drown out the voices of Westboro's members. Critics warn that the counterprotests can help the church with its ultimate mission: to bring attention to its cause. This so called church is knowingly or not fulfilling a political agenda. The majority condemns their hateful and disrespectful actions and could therefor call upon limiting free speech. Not realizing they would cast away a very powerful tool and right .

Sonstig wirken Gene, Botenstoffe im Gehirn, dank Nahrung, wie Dopamin, Serotin, Noradrelin und Hormone, nicht zuletzt Prägungen im Umfeld. Sexualverhalten muss nicht der Fortpflanzung dienen. Was zwei Menschen einvernehmlich mit ihrem Körper gemeinsam tun, hat ausgenommen bei Altersgrenzen, keinen Dritten zu interessieren. "'I've always ignored these psychopaths and refused to give them the media attention they crave. But information about them that can't be ignored surfaced last week on The Standard, a Vancouver-based public affairs program. In his first-ever television interview, Fred's son Nate Phelps says the family could turn violent if his father ever finds a Bible verse to justify it." Nate Phelps, who left the family more than 30 years ago and lives in Canada, says his father is a violent individual. He talks about rage and the physical abuse Fred Phelps inflicted for hours at a time on his wife and children. He speculates that his father is mentally ill and effectively calls the Westboro church a classic cult: They fit the definition, and I've said for years that all it would really take is if my father made the decision, found the right justification in the Bible, that they would turn towards violence -- either violence towards themselves or someone else.

The radical and bigoted Phelps claims that not only does "God Hate the World," but that "God hates fags," He has no Biblical basis upon which to make either claim.

POPS Common Decency “Thank God For Dead Soldiers,” “You’re Going to Hell,” and “Semper Fi Fags.” They pull this garbage at a lot of funerals… but this time, Corporal Snyder’s father stood up and pushed back. Albert Snyder filed a lawsuit against Fred Phelps, alpha moron of the Westboro Baptist Church, charging the WBC with defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Snyder won his initial suit, but the decision was overturned by the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which took the unusual step of socking Mr. Snyder with over sixteen thousand dollars in court costs. The case is on its way to the Supreme Court. The American Legion, along with many individual donors, has stepped into help Snyder deal with these costs. To his great credit, talk-show host Bill O’Reilly has pledged to cover the entire sixteen thousand dollar tab from the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.
