POPSStrange Laws In Phoenix, Arizona, you can't walk through a hotel lobby with spurs on. In California, a law created in 1925 makes it illegal to wiggle while dancing. In Utah, daylight must be visible between dancing couples. In Michigan, it is against the law for a lady to lift her skirt more than 6 inches while walking through a mud puddle. In North Carolina, it is against the law for a rabbit to race down the street. In Georgia, it's against the law to spread a false rumor. In West Virginia, one can't cook sauerkraut or cabbage due to the odors and the offence is subject to imprisonment. In Missouri, a man must have a permit to shave. The law states that more than 3000 sheep cannot be herded down Hollywood Blvd. at any one time. In Texas, it is still a "hanging offense" to steal cattle. In Virginia, the Code of 1930 has a statute which prohibits corrupt practices or bribery by any person other than political candidates.

POPSIsrael: Shooting Down Demonstrators for Sport To think people have the gall to say Israel is a democracy??? Even if that were true, the conduct of this false democracy is a desecration of the word. They have one-upped the Nazis in the sheer joy of cruelty and injustice.

POPS CAIR Once Again Silent On Gillian Gibbons Imprisonment
In both cases, CAIR rose up to defend the offenders in question and engaged in their now standard grievance theater protest politics. When it comes to the November 1999 incident, any mention of CAIR’s involvement or defense of the Saudi students has been scrubbed from the organization’s website. It’s no wonder, as the 9/11 Commission Report (page 521, footnote 60) explains that the FBI now considers the incident as a “dry run” for the 9/11 hijackings There is a connection between these two incidents, as the leader of the six “Flying Imams” this past November is none other than Omar Shahin, the former imam of the Islamic Center of Tucson, where the two Saudi students from the November 1999 incident attended. Counterterrorism expert Rita Katz told the Washington Post in September 2002 that the mosque served as “basically the first cell of Al-Qaeda in the United States; that is where it all started” “Al Qaeda among Us”, provides greater detail about the connections

POPSChildren Criminality I can't believe we live in a world where such things can happen. Rape itself is already too much a thing for anyone to live with; now what can be told this lil' girl, how can she be explained this happened to her, and moreover from a couple of kids just like her!!! And what have the children who assaulted been subject to, what kind of education did they have, to be capable of such dreadful act?

POPSPolice Brutality? Mind you this took place a month after the Hurricane Katrina. The day after the hurricane passed 250 officers didn't show back up for work. There were even accusations of the police looting. Stress is a mind blower. The cops may have done the right thing with the old man. Rule one: When caught by the police, do not resist arrest or detainment. Rule two: Don't get caught in the first place.

POPSI Felt Forced to Clip This I am always clipping such downhearted and dark stories that I just felt compelled to clip this silliness for some comic relief. Poor George, he has gotten to the point where he has to chain people to his wall in order to get some action.

POPSSome very funny political dirty tricks People I've talked to during the past couple of election cycles think it is just hilarious when phone calls are made mis-informing voters that the date was changed, or some other really funny deception. I would love to see some of the people who dream up these schemes laughing from behind the bars.
