Of all of the insightful observations expressed during this conference, this one was very apt. POPSJustice Called Mukasey "Tyrant!" Before Fainting at Federalist Society
"And now you know...the rest of the (real) story", that was suppressed. The neocon Attorney General had packed his speech before the (plutocratic) Federalist Society, heralding Bush's anti-constitutional policies against "terrorism", before he fainted. But for some reason the MSM kept this hot piece of news buried from public when a David stood alone against Goliath and hurled the just charge against him before the sycophantic Society that disregards supreme law. THAT is what sent Mukasey reeling (doctors said he had nothing wrong), a solid blow to his stiff-necked and lying conscience, that dropped him to the floor moments later. It wasn't until the next morning — when he turned on the TV in his hotel room — that Sanders learned what happened after he departed: Mukasey, later in his speech, began slurring his words, slumped at the podium and passed out. He was taken to a hospital, where he was released the next day after getting a clean bill of health.

Depends on the issue: Prohibiting Abortion: Federalist unless it is a state trying to ignore Roe v Wade, in which case: State's Rights Integrating Schools: States Rights Unless it comes to Federal support for segregation: Federalists Marijuana decriminalization: Federalist Unless your state institutes ridiculously draconian and probably unconstitutional punishments: States Rights Gun Ownership: States Rights Unless unless you are Washington DC and pass restrictive gun control laws: Federalists Environmental Protection: States Rights Unless your state actually tries to protect the environment at the expense of big business: Federalist These guys believe in nothing, they just use any ideology they can to justify whatever it is the want.

POPSBush -- Hypocritical Defender of the Constitution The entire article is worth reading. This is a typical neo-republican message where "judges that legislate from the bench" really is against judges who uphold the Constitution versus anti-Constitutional legislation or Executive usurpation of powers. Orwell would call this "newspeak". Parry calls it, justly, "cognitive dissonance", but it apparently applies as well to too many other Americans also in a stupor and blind denial of the facts.
