Over the past decade, the AARP has morphed from an advocacy group to an insurance company (through its subsidiary company). It is one of the main suppliers of Medi-gap insurance, a high-cost, privately purchased coverage that picks up where Medicare leaves off. But President Bush-43 passed the Medicare Advantage program, which offered a subsidized, lower-cost alternative to Medi-gap. Under Medicare Advantage, the elderly get all the extra coverage they need plus coordinated, well-managed care, usually by the same physician. So more than 10 million seniors went with Medicare Advantage, cutting into AARP Medi-gap revenues. Presto! Obama solved their problem. He eliminates subsidies for Medicare Advantage. The elderly will have to pay more for coverage under Medigap, but the AARP — which supposedly represents them — will make more money

POPSChemical BPA in workers linked to sex problems I cannot imaging how this hazard can be eliminated from our life. It is everywhere. Look around. Clear plastic bottles or cans made from polycarbonate with bisphenol A leashing into product it contain. Before it was fragile, but chemically stable, indifferent glass. Can we afford to pay with our health (and lives, after all) for this fruit of chemical progress? It damaging everything inside a body, it's just happen to discover some of its symptoms. What was impossible to suppress already... :cool:

POPSFood of the week: Cranberries Hi everyone. I have no orange lines and have been unable to clip. I was able to clip this by highlighting text. I can't comment on your clips either. I can pop them most of the time. Don't know why, is anyone else having this problem?? Any suggestions??? I miss you all.

The Pole shift hypothesis is not to be confused with geomagnetic reversal, the periodic reversal of the Earth's magnetic field (effectively switching the north and south magnetic poles). Geomagnetic reversal has more acceptance in the scientific community than pole shift hypotheses. The Pole shift hypothesis is almost always discussed in the context of Earth, but other bodies in the Solar System may have experienced axial reorientation during their existences. The theory says that the outer crust of the Earth has moved several times in the past and would move in the future, just as the loosely peeled skin of an orange (or avocado) could be slid around the stationary inner fruit. Charles Hutchins Hapgood (1904 " December 1982) was an American academician, and one of the best known advocates of the Pole shift theory.
